Halo 5: Guardians In-Game Songs

UPDATE: A few song and ques were added and goes as follows:

Longer Infected song
Final Round/Round 4 of Infection's Last Man Standing, with both Radio intro and without Radio intro
Strongholds Victory Que
Strongholds Three Post Control
Objective Victory Que
Breakout's Round Loss #3
Battlesuit Goblin [Firefight/Mantis Remix]

And a little bit of a rookie mashup from me. The surprise should be in the folder 'Halo 5 Custom Mix'.

Hello everybody. This is my very first post and I wanted to contribute a small bit to the site; Seeing Bizargh's thread about Halo has inspired me to contribute to the cause. This cause being some of the in-game songs in Halo 5: Guardians.

The method I used was to turn the sound effects and voices off and play a few games of Matchmaking, using the Xbox One Game recording. Once that was accomplished, I then upload it to Xbox Live, then download the footage and post it in WavePad Sound Editor for editing and as a result, I'm able to use that audio and edit it a bit. With that said, I've converted all of my recorded songs to two audio files; FLAC and MP3. Most of the songs are not that long and very few of them are and there's maybe a song or two that are unfinished/potentials to be looped via editing, but I hope that it doesn't hinder you that much and I'll clean up the playlist in the future.

I hope I have done a decent enough job and hope you all enjoy my little contribution to the site. I know it's not much and it's not a 'traditional game-rip'; I just wanted to do something to hold everybody over until the day it's possible to rip Halo 5's music directly. Until that day comes, I'll try to continue recording and editing the songs. Some of the songs are intros to Firefight, some of them are the final bosses of the final wave and some are the Multiplayer's Victory, Defeat and one Map Intro songs.
I can give the links to both FLAC and MP3 zips and let you lot be the judge. Enjoy it and may it serve you in your endeavors.

A small warning: 'The Final Sixty' music's volume levels have points of decreasing and increasing; this was because I was trying to make a loop out of it, but the music fades out when the timer runs out.

Just a fair warning, assuming what I hear about observing Spectrograms is at all correct (And I'm not feelin' too safe with that assumption), I think the FLAC format may be "irrelevant" as the music I checked sits between 18k-20k at best, indicating pretty lossy audio (Which I'd expect from XboxDVR recordings, especially if retrieved from downloadable MP4s like I assume they were), where as anything comfortably above 22k would be likely, if not definitely lossless. Then again, being a game using Wwise, I doubt the native audio quality is very high to begin with (Even Destiny 2's Wwise extractions usually amount to variable bit-rate OGGs).

Nevertheless, thanks for enlightening me to music ques I never heard having mostly neglected the Matchmaking since the Open Beta (That Victory Theme was pretty satisfying, even if those old character animations made the victory so embarrassing!)

I'm more of a casual Audiophile, so all of this is sort of new to me. Thank you for your input and yes, it has been recored via XboxDVR. You're right on all accounts. This would be so much easier if Halo 5 was playable on PC. As for the music ques, I would have done it when it was still the beta, but the Beta didn't have any means of disabling the sounds and in game voices. Finally, The Victory theme, there's a few different variations of it and if you're worried about the silly 'bro' animations, they ditched it in the full release of the game.

You're welcome and I'm glad I could be of some assistance. Look forward for some more Halo 5 ques in the future.

You should look into hooking up your xbox to your PC to avoid compressing the audio and just record it directly with audacity, problem is from what I see it's HDMI only, so you'll need to figure a way of converting an HDMI signal to an RCA one.

The main problem with that is, one, I don't have a capture card for that sort of thing and two, I still need to see so I can still play the game to get the audio; the game will just boot me if I idle for too long. Three, I don't really have friends who would be fine to cooperate with me on this, so Matchmaking and Custom Browser is my main options. This all just loops back to the fact that I don't have a capture card (In this case, an Elgato.)

I NOW get what you're saying, but I don't have a lick of an idea on how to do anything like that. If anyone could pull it off, I'd open the offer for them to try.

If the Xbone still had RCA or some kind of converter, all you would need is this cable ().

You would keep the video plug connected to your tv then run the red and white audio cables through that splitter which would be connected to the line in (https://www.computerhope.com/jargon/l/linein.htm) port of your computer's motherboard. To record audio, all you would need would be audacity and enable line in audio recording which is under the sound tab of windows.

Oh yeah. Gotcha. I know that method, since I used an old Dazzle Capture card to record and clean up the game audio (It's different, I know.) That said, I'm slightly certain I had that type of wiring. Sadly, it doesn't matter since Xbone doesn't have that and short of recording it from an Elgato Capture Card, the Xbone DVR is what I have to go.

check into a agptek hd video capture device. much cheaper then an elgato but works just as good. saves files to a usb drive. what i personally use to record xbox one / 360 videos.

You DON'T need a capture card to do this, it's called line in recording.

This is one of many tutorials you can find on the web (https://www.nowsmart.com/convert-cassette-tapes.html)

Either way, it's straight up out of my league considering the Xbone only has HDMI and I'm not technical to convert an HDMI signal to a RCA one.

I have updated via adding a few more tunes (Which took a fair bit of games to try + luck to make some of the games lasts longer, therefore, make the que last as long as possible.) and added a small 'Extra' gift from me to the rest of you. Enjoy everybody.
