Does someone know of anything about this music? As much as I try, I can't find anything about it, except for the intro and closing in Youtube. I'm sure there was never anything officially released, but maybe somebody has more than that (as little as it may be)?
I'm referring as much to the cartoon series from Filmation 'The new adventures of Flash Gordon' as their film 'Flash Gordon, The greatest adventure of all' (from which the cartoon was adapted), both from 1979.
I loved this cartoon as a kid and still love it! The whole spirit of space opera that it gives me was never outmatched, even in spite of some sub-par animation in the series. In my country the film was released for cinema (in 81), where I saw it for the first time (about the same year I saw Ralph Bakshi's 'Fire and Ice').
The swashbuckling music is forever ingrained in my mind. Every time I hear the introduction I replay it over and over. Yeah, I'm nuts for it (or simply nuts), and I'm waiting a long, long time for the soundtrack. Alas...
Here's a link for the opening and closing credits I found in Youtube:

And two great homages with Queen's songs. I find them awesome:

As desperate as I am, I'm considering recording excerpts from the film and series with the minimal FX and dialogue that I can manage. Have both the film (a ripped version) and the series (bought the DVDs). As far as I know, the film was never released in DVD or Blu-ray
But before that, I had to try to come here and ask if someone has anything at all about it? If so, can you please share it? I would be very grateful.
Thank you for your attention.
