In celebration of Maestro Zimmer's 60th birthday today, I've decided to finally share my Man of Steel suite.
What to say about this one - I started it in May of 2014. After listening to the score for nearly a year, I thought I'd tackle my first suite.
I first started taking notes on how I wanted it structured - as in I had an actual notebook on me at all times.
Whenever I had a thought, I'd jot it down. Eventually that turned into an entire page and I decided it was time.
I spent 3 months on this and poured a little bit of heart, soul and a lot if time into it.

I've also taken the liberty at making this my first public share on YouTube. I created a new account just for this.
Part of the reason I haven't shared it until now was to prevent anyone else from uploading it and claiming it as their own.
Yes, I know this isn't my actual music. I didn't write any of it. But I put a lot of time into it.

Running time is 30:22. My goal was to make it longer than Hans' sketch off disc 2 of the deluxe OST.
This is comprised entirely of the deluxe OST, nothing from the complete score. I didn't have it at the time.
For now, quality will be MP3 320. Maybe I'll share the lossless version one day.
Post in the thread for the link, PMs will be ignored.

Your arrangement of the Man of Steel themes flows very well and I like it a lot. I'm really glad that it's 30 minutes long. My only negative is that I'd personally prefer not to have movie dialog within the suite because it pulls me out of my Zimmer-induced trance.

My review: A great mix everything is so fluid and flows really nice. This makes me wish I have the great ear AND patience to put something together for Dark Knight Rises in this same way (I don't have the patience so I'll never get around to it, ha). I love the inclusion of the film dialog 16 minutes in. That was a nice surprise. I had to shake my head and say "Dak is always keeping us on our toes". Well done, mate. I can only imagine how full and in-your-face the Lossless version sounds. Thank you again for sharing and stirring renewed interest in this soundtrack.

I agree. The mix is flawless and there's some great inclusions of dialogue. I also loved the inclusion of Kal's heartbeat.

I also loved the inclusion of Kal's heartbeat.

The one thing I'm not happy about with that is that I had to slow it down to muddle the SFX because I couldnt separate it. That was all on the same channel. If I could have, I would've kept it at the regualr speed as heard in the film.

That was intentional, and I didn't want to say anything so it wouldn't turn people off. There's 3 parts I can think of, and the loudest part (7:03) is LOUD (so you kinda have to lower your volume at that part), but I love it like that. KIϟϟ sang it best - "I love it loud" :p

There was no SFX aside from Clark's heartbeat. Everything is from the OST. Maybe you're thinking of the whispering voices around 7:16? That's part of that cue. Are You Listening, Clark? off the OST / 2m05 Young Clark Freaks off the complete. No SFX.
