That reminds me of the quote Cloud says when he first appears in Chapter 4 of FF Tactics (Maybe spoliers ahead):

His later encounter with an Aeris look-a-like in the same game is also worth mentioning:

Flowergirl: "Buy a flower! Only 1 gil!"
Cloud: .............!!!
Flowergirl: "What's wrong? Do I resemble someone?"
Cloud: ....... N..no.. it's nothing." (turns and walks away.)
Flowergirl: "Was it something I said? (then turns as suddenly a gang of thugs jumps out from the shadows and surrounds her)
Flowergirl: (panicing) "Whh.what?"
Town Knave: "I've been looking for you, Aeris. Selling flowers for your mom? Good for you."
Aeris: "Ten more days!! N..no! Just wait a week, please!"
(The thug then grabs Aeris by the collar and lifts her up violently into the air)
Town Knave: "Don't mess with me!! It's overdue!! I'm gonna get my 30 000 gil one way or another!"
Aeris: (struggling) "L..Let.. go of me!!"
(several of the thugs chuckle evilly)
Town Knave: "Hmmm, pretty good looking!! You oughta try sellling your body instead of flowers!! Hah ah haha!!"
Cloud: (out of view) "Get your hands off her!!"
(The thugs suddenly turn towards Cloud)
Town Knave: "Whh. what did you say??!!"
Cloud: "What? Didn't you hear me? I said, get your filthy hands off her!!!"
(The thug roughly drops Aeris to the ground)
Town Knave: "And who the hell are you?? Dressed in funny clothes!"
(Cloud suddenly punches the thug in the face, throwing him backwards. He then turns to Aeris)
Cloud: "Go. Now..."
(Aeris nods and hurridly disappears off screen, never to be seen again.)
Town Knave: (rubbing his jaw) "Bastard!! Taking me for a fool!!"
Cloud: "You want to fight? Aargghhhh!!!!" (Suddenly his ears start ringing as he seems to have a JENOVA reaction and collapses to the ground.)
Town Knave: "Who the hell are you??"
(Suddenly Ramza's party gallops up on chocobos)
Ramza: "Cloud! You okay?'
Town Knave: Damn!! Arrghh!"

Good stuff... (although the battle after that to save Cloud was pretty easy)..
