Forgive me if this has been asked elsewhere, but has anyone compiled a rip of Michel Legrand's score for Yentl? The only score music I can ever seem to find is in the form of re-recorded suites.
I can't be the only person haunted by this score...or can I?
Thanks in advance for any guidance!

I've only ever seen the soundtrack with Barbra Streisand. There's no film score listed at discogs.com. A search at allmusic.com indicates that selections are available on various compilations:
http://www.allmusic.com/composition/yentl-film-score-mc0002385948. Since it won the 1983 Academy Award for Best Original Song Score and Its Adaptation or Best Adaptation Score, it's hard to believe it's not available somewhere.

Yeah, I have checked out all of those comps. All of the "score" pieces are re-recordings utilizing different arrangements and instrumentation.
Very perplexed by this.

Happens a lot with Legrand scores. Legrand rerecorded suites a lot, more than once, while to some of his lesser known films there's no real score album.

you have to wait til someone rips the dvd or the BluRay from Twilight Time on DTS-HD 5.1 Tracks. Unfortunaly, no isolated score on this one.
