filmcollector16, just out of curiosity, on which CD did you find the Walton-conducted Hamlet Funeral March? I can't find any source for this online. It was the one cue left out on the old Walton Shakespearean CD that contained all of the other pieces.

Yes a strange omission from what was labelled by EMI as "The Walton Edition". The CD reissue just didn't quite have space for it. However "Spitfire Prelude and Fugue", which though adapted from film music, wasn't film music per se, was included on that disc - it could have been accommodated elsewhere to allow Hamlet to be included. But they just left it out...

It resurfaced here in a different configuration of tracks:

This one is really brilliant ! It's so nice havin' Walton conducting his masterpieces (I Love Bernard Herrmann & Neville Marriner conducting Walton's scores too !)
