The other day, I noticed that my old Pirates edits were in 96 kbps, so I got rid of them immediately and put together this edit that I decided to share in preparation for the Dead Man Tell No Tales hype.
The material is from the recording sessions extended with Climbing Up from jedisaurus, my 5.1 rips of Monkey's Got Me Eye with waves SFX, the percussion when the skeletons are harassing Governor Swann, Ragetti chasing his eye , the critical portions of A Happy Out (it's not the "really, really good rip", but it gets the job done), and something approximating the film version ending to Moonlight Serenade. DMC is unfortunately still incomplete.
Main concerns of editing were restoring the film versions wherever possible and/or memorable enough (like Pirates Attack Pt. 2, or a tracked insert when Jack looks back at the Pearl attacked by the Kraken), and using alternates where subjectively deemed good enough (like the choir version of Hoist The Colours Declaration with the film ending or the extended version of Davy Jones' merry-go-round), then grouping them together into as few tracks as possible so they wouldn't be too long and would make sense together. All from glorious FLAC sources of course! (Except where it in't.)
I used the matching Recording Sessions covers that have become the standard here because those are the ones I like the most, and this is basically just a Sessions re-edit anyway.

Well, I listened to the 320 sessions for the first time and oST is really not as bad as I remembered it. The repetition and verbatim quoting of really unfitting cues is still jarring, but when it's new material or gets it right, it's really, really good. So I decided to make and upload this to go along with my Trilogy. Sadly only in 320 this time, since the sessions are not available in FLAC.

Dead Man's Chest 5.1 Rips
This is just a few short cues I ripped from the 5.1 channels. Unfortunately, Elizabeth Escapes and Elizabeth & Beckett has too much dialogue echo, and The Dutchman Returns is just impossible to dig out from under all the splashing water, so I didn't bother with them. These cues only have minor SFX, mostly quiet atmospheric stuff like birds chirping, a few waves, the odd footstep... But I think they're pretty listenable.
Also included in the archive is 2 tracks from my DMC edit (also found in the folder) with these cues inserted into their place.
Jack the Monkey - 0:08
Cannibal Source 1 - 2:15 (Jack the Chief/Bone Cages/Big Fire)
Cannibal Source 2 - 0:17 (Jack on the Spit)
Cannibal Source 3 - 0:16 (The Prisoners Are Escaping)
Go Get them!- 0:16
The Mooring Line - 0:22
An INTJ personality comes with constant overthinking and making overly elaborate plans about impossible and nonsensical scenarios. Well, now i've finally crossed the line: one retarded plan went so far it crossed into the real world. I can be taken to the loony bin now.
So, I present to you:
The Ultimate Custom Printable 7-disc CD version of my Pirates Trilogy Edit
https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SmiP2TC3lFQ/WUtjqwZaN0I/AAAAAAAAAHM/CB0t6FzbLN4jyPWl7U3lSnzDDb0UOMV8gCLcBGAs/s1600/cover1thumb.jpghttps://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tWTGOcSckEA/WUtjsQgui8I/AAAAAAAAAHQ/fWh6dgOCrr4r_lJQCYHnJfGXtbC8wwELACLcBGAs/s1600/cover2thumb.jpg
It features a revised version with tighter edits with less silence, some revisited track names, printable CD faces and a complete paper CD case set, a 28-minute megatrack of the Battle of the Maelstrom, and a 3-part Pirates Suite. Parts 2 and 3 contain the suites written and recorded for the sessions, Part 1 contains music from oST and DMTNT as well as a few alternates, because I didn't want to just repeat and re-edit cues, since the Credits has already done that and it would be repetitive. AWE had to be split over 3 discs so it could fit into the 74 minutes of playtime, this allowed me to include the Pirates Suites.
To see a complete printed set "unboxed", Click Here! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6ejc2Pqh1o) You can see the tracklist and used cues list if you pause it at the right moments. (Both my printers are pretty shitty, that's why some pictures are a mangled mess of darkness, but at least the horizontal lines didn't show up in the video)
I made sure every disc is going to fit into 700MB when converted to wav, but it's uploaded in FLAC to keep the file sizes down a bit.
HOW TO GET THEM
Due to a coordinated attack on all my files, I had to switch to another mode of sharing: PM me for the link for the folder!
NOTE: From now on, I won't be able to monitor all my threads for requests, if you ask for the link in a comment, you won't get a reply!
