I have been exited when i got the ffx-2 game and saw tidus but it wasn' him it was shuyin why does shuyin look like tidus does anyone have and answer?

There is a connection between Tidus, Shuyin, Yuna, and Lenne. They do not really say what the connection is exept that they look alike.

No...that can't be right. Tidus was once real but was killed by the war. He was dreamed up again by the fayth. The fayth said they summoned all who lived there. So Tidus had to be real before Zanarkand was destroyed. Tidus can't be a dream of Shuyin because Shuyin was not a fayth to summon the new Zanarkand. He died way before Zanarkand was destroyed. Tidus was a dream of the fayth. That is why he disappeared when the fayth "rested" by Shuyin was still "awake". Therefore, Tidus can't be a dream of Shuyin.

omg, people this is not that confusing.you are making this way too hard. ok, Shuyin and Lenne are from Zanarkand 1000 years ago.now, when Lenne died, Shuyin's rage and depression formed into a "ghost" of him, if you will. Tidus is a dream of the Fayth.the Fayth had to dream in order for there to be summoning. and, as a result of this, Sin always came back.so, to solve this, Yuna sent all the Fayth to the Farplane, and now Sin won't come back. now, back to Tidus and Shuyin. the Fayth's dream was BASED on the Zanarkand 1000 years ago.they based Tidus off of Shuyin, who was from Zanarkand 1000 years ago. Tidus may look like him, but his personality is different because of the dream being only as a guideline. Tidus was able to develope and change differently. also, who knows, maybe Shuyin was like Tidus when he was with Lenne.the reason that Tidus was able to go into the real Spira was because Sin came into the dream and got him and sent him to the real Spira(although, they don't really explain how Sin is able to do this) i don't know why Lenne and Yuna look alike. maybe it was destiny and fate.

Wow! I finally get it. Tidus was never sent 1000 years in the future. He was merely taken out of a dream and sent to reality. I thought that the dream Zanarkand existed in the real Spira. But, it got me to wondering why Tidus never knew of the rest of Spira. It was because it didn't exist in the dream. Thank you for explaining it anyname13579.

I hope a new FFX game would come out. That Seymoure is merge with the souls in the farplane and grow strong and the fayth tries to steal so many souls as possible from seymour, and many peoples suddenly appears in spira, one of the is Tidus...

Fayth tries to steal the best warriors from seymour and Yuna and here old friends starts a new journey etc...

I also i think why Tidus looks like Shuyin, simple because to confuse Yuna ''make the game exciting'' Or maybe like Shuyin9 said, maybe they were related, lol.

Because Shuin and lenne are rip offs of yuna. they had no original ideas for ffx2 so they ruined FFX.

Now, Yuna and "Tidus's" fathers knew each other, Jecht was a guardian of Yunas father..But if Tidus and his life are indeed based on Shuyin's, doesnt that mean that Yuna and her dad had to be around the same time as Shuyin as well?
