Pan Tadeusz
Wojciech Kilar

Pan Tadeusz: The Last Foray in Lithuania is a 1999 Polish film directed by Andrzej Wajda. It is based on the eponymous epic poem by Polish poet, writer and philosopher Adam Mickiewicz (1798–1855). As in the poem, conflict between the Soplica and Horeszko families serves as a backdrop for discussion of issues of Polish national unity and the struggle for independence.
Polish emigrants remember in Paris the last uprising against the Czar in Poland-Lithuania. Adam Mickiewicz is one of them and tells the story of Pan Tadeusz. The young Tadeusz Soplica (Michał Żebrowski) returns to Lithuania in 1811 after completing his studies. There his guardian and his brother's father, the Judge Soplica (Andrzej Seweryn), awaits him. The Judge leads the property, but the house of his family makes a completely empty impression.
Tadeusz looks up his nursery and discovers the girl Zosia (Alicja Bachleda).
In the evening a great celebration is held in Count Horeszko's (Marek Kondrat) castle. Tadeusz falls in love with the beautiful Telimena (Grazyna Szapolowska), which is considerably older than Tadeusz and who is also courted by the Count himself. It turns out that the girl Zosia is under the care of the count family and lives in his former room. The feelings for Telimena and Zosia confuse young Tadeusz, make him blind to the events around him. He does not recognize his father Jacek Soplica in the priest Robak (Boguslaw Linda). Jacek Soplica brought disgrace on the Soplica family. Because of murder of the ruling Count, he once fled to a monastery. Since then, the family Soplica has been living in the quarrel with the Counts family, and is exposed to the revenge of the faithful servant Gerwazy.
In the garment of the priest Robak, Jacek Soplica returns. The patriotic priest Robak recognizes the possibility that Poland can regain its independence. There is an uprising against the Czar. Robak is mortally wounded and shows up on the deathbed. Finally, there's a reconciliation between the families, and Tadeusz can conspire with Zosia.

Another really fine score by Wojciech Kilar with his long-time collaborator Andrzej Wajda.
Enjoy! And don't forget to give some reputation and commentaries! ;)
