So far, I must confess a very strong preference for Earl Wild's performances with Jascha Horenstein conducting the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and produced by Charles Gerhardt... this is a matter of taste, of course...

But considering, I also DO love the Ashkenazy/Previn recordings and the fact that the review mentioned both of them, I can't wait to discover through your generous input and unleashed entusiasm, this interpretation by Stephen Hough and Andrew Litton.

By the way, the SACD Audio 2-Channel Lossless: 96kHz/24-bit link would be fantastic !

Just to let you know: I am currently listening the second concerto (O.K., I guess what you think... the "easy one"... ) and I join you in the enthusiasm for this AMAZING performance ! It's clear and precise, even at a very demanding fast tempo, it seems effortless and totally under control. Stephen Hough's reading of the work is brilliant and SO musical ! IT IS BEAUTIFUL !!!

My heart now balances between the incredible musicality of Hough's touch and the complete madness of Earl Wild's daring versions...

I have re-upped this package, and it is available again for download, in case anybody who didn't get it previously would like a copy.

All the scans/artwork and .flac files are exactly the same as before. I’ve added password protection to the .rar files just simply to keep MediaFire from snooping around, but otherwise there are no changes from before.
