Four topics. They're simple, so I just want to make it one thread

1. Who do you like more: Shuyin or Seymour?
2. Who do you like more: New Yevon or the Youth League?
3. Who do you like more: Baralai, Nooj, or Gippal?
4. Would FFX-2 have been better with a serious villain?

1. Seymour. I understand much of the animosity directed toward him, but Shuyin was a semi-badass version of Tidus. 'nough said.

2. I always liked Yevon. The relgion was very interesting.

3. Baralai. He looked cool to me. Though, there was nothing extraordinary about him.

4. Indeed. Shuyin was a guy struggling with grief. I would've liked it if we had a villain motivated by arrogance, hatred of mankind, something. Avengers aren't my thing.

1 i hated both of them because shuyin just was a wannabe tidus and seymour was just stupid.
2 I cant really say i like either of them but i guess youth leage bcuz of clasko.
3 gippal cuz he has an eye patch and parachute pants
4 yes way better if it was like some super evil dude instead of shuyin who is stupid

4. yeah, they should have made Yuna, Rikku and Paine evil.

1. That's close but I'll say Shuyin, I really didn't think much of Seymour.
2. Youth League, they were infinitely cooler, New Yevon was stupid
3. That one is tough Noojie Woojie I didn't like but it's about tied between the other two but I'll say Gippal
4. No, this game didn't really have as serious a feel as some of the other ff's so it would have ruined it kind of.

Wow, lots of Seymour-haters. I can understand that, but what's with the Yevon-haters? The Youth League are a bunch of morons and Yevon has the smartest people in all of Spira! (They controlled and manipulated a world for centuries) Kinoc, Mika, Seymour and the rest were evil geniuses. The Youth League had Yaibal, 'nough said. "Studly" my ass.

If you want examples of their being so clever, look at Operation Mi'han where they knew the Crusaders would die and in X-2, when the Youth League raided Killika Temple, they totally entrapped them wtih that mech. They're smart and the Yevon religion was fascinating.

2. youth league, cuz yevonites are stupid. what with that operation mi'ihen. they know that the crusaders will die, and that the operation is hopeless and they still did it. how stupid was that?

4. yeah... i guess... well, it would have made the story more serious cuz ffx-2 doesn't look very serious after all...

How ignorant of you. They sanctioned the operation. It was not Yevonites fighting. It was the Crusaders. If they had put warrior monks and the like out there as well, yes, that would've been stupid.

All of you seem to underestimate the cunning of the Yevon religion.

oh... let me add this, YEVON BETRAYED SPIRA, and now they form this new yevon thingy, that still hides secrets... not to mention, VIA INFINITO...

1) They both really weren't all that cool. I mean Shuyin I just a vengeful version of Tidus, and Seymour was a friggin idiot
2) Youth League Kicked some MAJOR ass compared to the littile wusses that make up New Yevon
3) Which was which again? I haven't touched the game in at least 6 months
4) Definatly. Vengence makes a good villain, but not in this case. This guys was not really even a Villan, just a confused adolecent-type guy. If we had a real Villain, like Sepiroth for example.

B. Yevon was Spira's only hope. Look what happened to the world after Yevon collapsed? Thieves, war, and madness. They kept order.

A. I can accept you calling him insane, but not stupid.
B. The Youth League did nothing. They got their asses whooped at Killika, showing their inability of actual strategy. They're a very unstable militia.
C. Baralai was the one with the light hair and he ran New Yevon. Nooj was the one with the long hair and cane. He ran the Youth League. Gippal was the one with an eyepatch. He ran the Machine Faction.

1. Seymour. I like him somehow, I like his voice, and he's crazy enough for being a good villain.

2. New Yevon. This religion was interesting. They were spreading teachings, but hiding a lot by themselves. Just like in real life.

3. Baralai. He's cool and good looking.

4. No, not really. It is more the way you make a game. FF-X2 is a way too funny, no wonder the villain doesn't seem good.

Well, in this case the villain really wasn't that good...so, maybe I should say 'yes' then?

How can anyone like New yevon or Seymor. They both piss everyone off and don't know what spira needs

Number 4: Galsia would've made a very FITTING villain, cuz he;d have an attack called "SUMMON LONEZ" and would summon liek all da versionz of himself and then d00mzday would come upon you! SO YOU'D LOSE! Andi f you cheated, Id personally goto your house, and SHOOT IT UP SINCE IM GHA-TTO.

Shuyin although it's more a case of pitying and empathising with him, than LIKING him. At the end of the day, he's traumatised by past events, just like Sephiroth was. Seymour was a creepy bastard who kept popping up when he was least wanted, like every other mid-ranking boss in the FF series.

It really doesn't surprise me that you prefer New Yevon. I just think it's an excuse to cling to the past, and I can't believe they had so many people willing to continue following their deceit, especially after Yuna defeated Sin. It's almost as if they reckon Sin and Yu Yevon will re-appear someday, and smite the unfaithful.
3. Who do you like more: Baralai, Nooj, or Gippal?
Not really got a preference on these guys, they're all about the same.
4. Would FFX-2 have been better with a serious villain?
No. It would only had interfered with the story, had there been a bad-ass villain to clobber.

3. Baralai, I just prefer his general appearance.
4. No, FFX-2 was a lost cause from the beginning.

The people that followed New Yevon because, after nearly 1000 years of tradition, things had changed very rapidly. Besides, with the Youth League going around, I'd feel safer knowing there was someone to fight them.

1) Shuyin
2) I liked both, but I would have to go with the Youth League
3) Either Gippal or Baralai. They both had cool voices.
4) I quite liked Shuyin as a villian.

New Yevon was rubbish. Youth League was rubbish. Long live Al Bhed! They should have their group lead the world!

Gippal. No idea why, but i just like Gippal!!!

4. Would FFX-2 have been better with a serious villain?

Yep. Shuyin was the same as Tidus. Only more annoying. They even had the same voice for crying out loud!

2. Who do you like more: They were both pretty cool, but I think I'd rather join New Yevon.
3. Who do you like more: Gippal. What a spunk.
4. Would FFX-2 have been better with a serious villain? Not really. I was pretty satisfied with the way things happened.
