I emailed MEGA, and you can contest each removed file if you still have the url (which doesnt show up in your account, btw, so you'd need it from posts).
Why would you want to do this? You don't own the copyright to any of the film music you're posting, do you? You have no ground to stand on.

Speaking As A Disney Exec, I Would Place A Bid For This, However Do Not Feel It Will Bring Us The Finance As Gained Via The Mouse, The Jedi or The Avengers.

I was posting info for anyone interested, but as for myself, some uploads were personal material, some film titles have composer permission, some titles are public domain, and others are not owned by NBC Universal so I doubt they would prosecute me on other copyright owners behalf. They probably dont even know what they own themselves. And as I said, they removed everything (not just film scores, and most of those were unreleased music, not retail). They couldnt have downloaded and examined every file given the speed of the blanket removal of all uploads. It was pure revenge against uploaders.

Indeed. In that case I wish you good luck in your counterclaim.

Sadsack, was all your divergent content under one account? If so, I might suggest the next time creating multiple accounts which separate out content according to their varying legal standing, that way any claim you might present wouldn't be ignored because the legitimate content resides under the same account as more questionable content.

all my files were in one account. Actually I had two accounts, but only because I lost my password for the first one. MEGA emailed me that 100 files from the first one were removed, along with 250 from my 2nd account. And as you know, my posts were targeted in general, so any other file posted (not even mine) got deactivated.
I posted links with the decryption key from Mega. I'm wondering if they would have still been removed if I hadnt included that in the links? I suppose so, although then the attacker could definitely not prove copyright violation since they didnt have the key.

At this point anyone still broadcasting open links is just asking for it.
If it were possible to organize a coordinated defence posture around here, the culprit could be identified. I only have my own observations of mass link requests in short periods of time, particularly this past Saturday (in the wee hours here in NA) for Zimmer content, including my own (which I denied).
Did you figure out if a bot made the requests?
