Many thanks for this new sound adventure !
New because, I must admit... I didn't know this composer until now !

Awesome share! This guy is virtually unknown except as an orchestrator for composers as varied as Leonard Rosenman to Randy Edelman. I know him however from The King's Pirate, a really fun sort of pirate spoof movie. I never thought I'd get the score isolated from the film, which itself has never been released digitally to my knowledge, so this just made my day. Can't wait to see what covers people come up with...

Every now and then something makes me remember a movie from my childhood that I've completely forgotten - King's Pirate is one of them. I was a big fan of Doug McClure (okay, I was very young!) and I remember now that I enjoyed this particular flick very much. Thanks, sadsack, for a great trip down memory lane.

Speaking of Doug McClure, I'd get a real kick outa hearing a double-feature of Mike Vickers' score to "At the Earth's Core" and Doug Gamley's "The Land That Time Forgot".

Congrats to gururu for the Pony Express cover - love the stylish simplicity of it.
I've been really enjoying Ralph's western scores courtesy of sadsack. I hear little Leonard Rosenman touches throughout, and it turns out Ralph orchestrated a lot of his scores. I also thought I could hear echoes of Don Costa's score for The Soul of Nigger Charley ... and he orchestrated that as well. Good influences, subtly melded into his own musical voice. The King's Pirate is a lot of fun, too. Sometimes I swear I'm listening to some lost Golden Age score, maybe from the late '50s.

Well it came out great. I have a small correction for your Virginian artwork -- the second episode should be titled "Jenny" as in sadsack's original post. "The Men from Shiloh" was not an episode title but the new title of the show itself when it returned for its ninth and final season (instead of "The Virginian" which it was called for the majority of its run). It even received a brand new theme and title sequence. Compare the two on YouTube. Different look, same characters:

Quite a lot of influence Ennio Morricone suddenly had on westerns!

This is truly glorious - thank you so much!
I confess that I didn't even know Ferraro composed; like many others I knew his name from his orchestration credits. It's fascinating to hear how his style was influenced by those he orchestrated for, and presumably vice versa.
Yet another composer of yesteryear who deserves greater exposure; thank you for helping him achieve just that. :)

Re-up please? Now that "Flesh Gordon" is going to be released on blu ray next August it would be great to get the awesome original score by Ralph Ferraro.
