Just a quick question...
How likely is it that my memory card has suddenly decided of it's own free will to nuke all my FFX & FFX-2 files, when it hasn't even been touched for at least... 10 days?

If it's official, I've never heard it happen. If it's GAME brand, then probably as likely as the thing not working if you threw it in battery acid and then fried it.

nope..proper PS branded. Just thought I'd ask, in a semi-sarcastic manner, since my Spyro file's fine! There's gonna be hell to pay tomorrow when my mates(!) get home!

Haven't heard of any EU Demo Disk/games that would nuke a memory card.

You're going to have to make up a story to tell your mates, how about you tell them the cat ate the memory card? It worked for me!
That's weird though, i guess it's a faulty memory card, or a buggy save point... Weird!

I havn't had a single problem with my P.S.2 memory card, my P.S.1 cards buggered up all the time though. It's weird how it's only some of your files it's happened to.

It only ever happened to my Grand Theft Auto files. For some reason if I dont play it for a while it wont work.

When you go into the memory card browser, are they any icons that are just a black box? If so, the data is corrupt. Which, even though you follow the warning that every game keeps telling you "don't turn off the ps2 or pull the memory card out while saving" some data gets corrupt.
