With me heading out to Las Vegas later for the millionth time, why don't we discuss music you can play while you're on the road. Granted, I should've posted this YESTERDAY, as I need to sleep now, but this will be good for anytime you're out.

I'll start this off by suggesting Kraftwerk's Autobahn. From highways to comets to a morning walk, this album is quite a journey (especially when the title track is 22 mins. long). I really recommend this to those that are particularly fond of soundscapes, as well as the history of electronic music.

It's not for everyone, but that's the recommendations are for. To provide alternatives.

What do you think makes for good on the road music?

Perhaps the Mario Kart music (namely Mario Kart 64), and/or Daytona USA.

Those are just soundtracks for this sort of occasion off the top of my head.

Kraftwerk's Trans Europe Express and Tour De France are good too.

Other retro tracks worth checking out Mtley Cre - Kickstart My Heart , Van Halen - Panama

For me the best Music for driving has always been Classic Rock.

Find a Radio Station dedicated to the best Era in Rock n' Roll
and cruise down the Highway with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bachman-Turner Overdrive
Status Quo, Pearl Jam, Queen, Deep Purple, ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, Steve Miller Band,
The Who, The Doors, The Beatles, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC, Kiss, Def Leppard,
Genesis, Jefferson Airplane, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bruce, Springsteen, Jimi Hendrix, etc, etc...

This. This right here. Perfection.

The majority of my "summer" playlist is classic rock. There's also some pop/electronic (and a drop of hip-hop) in there, but it's like 85% classic rock. I will post a screenshot of the entire thing later today.

Looking forward to have a Look at that Playlist and i agree, a Dash of 90's/early 2000's Rap is a good Thing indeed.

Got a decent amount of 90's. Semisonic, Third Eye Blind, Smashing Pumpkins, Tom Cochrane.

Prince appears once (maybe twice - you'll have to look for him when I post the screenshot), Bowie I think twice.

Classic rock was the only station we would play anytime we went on trips or moved from city to city.

Can't stand any other music on the radio.

Even with the loudest, fastest music, if you're still tired, try find one a spot to pull over and sleep for a bit.
When you're body is so tired, it can sleep through anything.

I'd Recomend Actually Listening To A Score Before Having Opinions On How Good or Bad It Is..... Listening to One Cue or Sample is Pointless.

Next Road Trip Play The Whole Album.
