Hey, I just started Chapter 5 and I think my levels might be dangerously low, what were your levels at this time and what would you recommend?

My lvls were around 70 but i like over achieved a lot... so its really up to you what lvl you wanna be, as long as you can get the job done!

Hehe, My levels are 27, 28, 29, lol. I'm trying to get the Double EXP abillity from Lady Luck but it's taking a long time. So I'm guessing I definitely need to be leveling alot because I fleed from almost every battle since I just wanted to get on with the story.

It's weird, I haven't even had any trouble beating a boss or anything, I've only had like one game over. Another question: Where is the best place to level up in the game?
Also, on New Game Plus, do you get to keep all the dresspheres from the previous game and if so do they still have all the abilities you taught them mastered?

FFX-2 is a game that is totally beatable at very low levels as long as you use the right dresspheres, items and abilities and have a strong grasp of what you are doing. To answer your question, the best places to level up are the Farplane Abyss and the later Cloisters of Bevelle's Via Infinito. To get into the Via Infinito, head to Bevelle and go back to the New Yevon headquarters. Go inside, forward a bit, and go through a door on the right --- you'll know you've found the entrance to the Via Infinito if you see Pacce and a bunch of the other Kinderguardians hanging out there.

Oh, and to answer your second question about New Game Plus - yes.

Your level are low for were you are but you do most of the leveling up in chapter 5, well you can do most of the leveling up if you choose to.

Um, you would want to be at like level 45 or over if you want to beet the bosses in the fareplane abyss. The dark knight dressphere is the best because it get's the job done quickly, so I would recomend it.

dont worry about it i was around leve 47 my first try and i just went through the faRPLANE AND KICKED BUTT IT REALLY ISNT HARD you can be as low as you want jsut have a white mage curaga all the time and probably a beserker and a dark knight to hurt stuff.

K thanks, I got one more question, what are the three dresspheres I should equip the characters with? (keep in mind I don't have the alchemist, trainer, mascot, or Gun mage)
Edit: (sorry, one more question. I have every skill on Florall Fallal except for Break HP Limit and Break Damage Limit, they're not available to learn, how do I make it so that I am able to?)

Hmm. Given what you said you don't have, I'd say that having a Dark Knight, a Samurai and a white mage might not be a bad choice. It really largely depends on which ones you've been working on and what abilities you have. Or even if you're sucky, you can still compensate if you're fast, or you use the special dresspheres, or you use items. Lady Luck is another good one to have if you know how to manipulate the Reels. Just keep hitting Pause and X and once you've figured out the timing, you can get sets of three almost every time.

For the second question --- you need to have special items. That's the same for all of the special dresspheres. If you want the specific info on the names of those items and where to find them, let me know and I'll dig it up.

Thanks, thats helps alot, I already have white mage mastered but I haven't used Samurai or Dark Knight so I'll start working on those, don't mean to be a pain but will you tell me where to get the items for the special dresspheres?

I thought of one more thing I need help with, when Brother asks you where to jump in and it gives you the four options which one am i supposed to pick, or does it matter, I'm worried if i pick the wrong one something bad is gonna happen.

Agent0042
02-14-2005, 01:03 AM
Actually, it's just like Brother says. "Who cares?! We just pick a hole and dive!"

More seriously, though, if you want an easy journey --- I'd recommend going for the Bevelle hole. Some of the others have traps and puzzles that can make the going a bit more difficult, but all eventually end up at the same place. Oh, and if you complete all of them (return to the airship and then choose another one), you get a bonus Garment Grid.

I think I'll try Bevelle because I just beat Dark Shiva in Besaid and these stupid platforms take me back to the top of it, and then there are these monsters that are immune to physical attacks :-( .

Agent0042
02-14-2005, 02:40 AM
There are still the monsters in the Bevelle hole, but none of the pillars or other tricks. Bevelle should be fine and I think you can escape from the monsters like any others. Or if you've been working on the Samurai dressphere, try the Fireworks or Sparkler abilities and Dark Knight Darkness might work too.

If you have the calm lands take that...it's faster, but maybe it can be ??? sometimes coz' you have to teleport...

I faught a lot, and i had a level of like......70+ I'm guessing. towards the end of the 5 chapter i was at lv 99......it kinda sux cuz ur stats don't go up anymore...

Gaffelmannen

When I beat Vegnagun my levels were 59, 60, 60. It's really not hard, the hard battle in the game is the magus sisters (in my oppinion). That stupid Delta Attack fucked me over time after time. *sighs*

Hex Omega

none of the actual compulsory fights are difficult imo.the only hard one is probally Yojimbo because of Zanmato and your girls are still relatively weak.you dont have to fight him though

It turns out levels weren't necessary as many people said, I beat the game like 2 or 3 weeks ago and I was at level 35 or so, catnip is awesome. =)
