Russian born Vladimir Selinsky was one of the first composers to write original themes and incidental music for anthology series presenting live television dramas. Selinsky served as music director for Kraft Television Theatre, which ran for 11 seasons from 1947-1958 on NBC and on ABC Networks. The download offered here is from a 24 bit transfer of a 1956 RKO-Unique LP of Selinsky conducting excerpts from 9 of his scores for Kraft Theatre. All of the LPs on this label were pressed on recycled vinyl or worse and usually exhibited every aberration that could possibly plague LPs and circumvent your enjoyment of the musical content. I did the best I could to clean up this LP but at best it still has the noise level of a 1940s 78 underneath the music. Unfortunately this album has been out of print for 50 years and has never been released on CD so this is all there is. I hope you can overcome the compromised sound like I did and find some musical enjoyment since, in my opinion, there is some really good music to be heard on this historic recording of original music for early television.
