So far, I have played around half way through FFX. Im at Macalania temple in FFX. So I was just wondering, do I need to beat FFX before I can play X-2? Will it spoil anything if I do?

I think you shoud just play ffx first before playing ffx-2...you don't know what they're talking about when you play ffx-2....

it's an average offering at best, it makes 9 look good. what ifrit should do is get a snes emulator and play 3,4 and 5
