Ok, so the track I was after is on there, but its labeled "Mowgli Wins The Race". However Disney kinda butchered it. Sounded epic in the trailer, and on this album its short.

Trailer ruined the score for me. I don't like this album. Too childish and happy and sappy.

I wasn't looking for an action packed no-brainer, mind you.
I wanted something from James Newton Howard. I wanted the sense of adventure the trailers exhibit.
Instead we get a cartoon album.
The live-action singing sucks in this. They should not have even tried to atttempt remaking the original songs, imo.
There didn't need to be 2 versions of the same either.

I'll stick with the Hit House trailer music for this movie. I have a feeling the music requires the movie with it.

pre-2011. When TSFH actually used percussion and epic themes rather than dreamy/light (post-Gladiator) themes.
Lisa Gerrard owns the monopoly on vocalization. With Zimmer. And Horner did really with vocals, god rest him.

Thank you for the post! I saw the film last night, thankfully much better than the trailer leads you to think. Really enjoyed it. Superb CG animation and a real treat for the eyes, with a great voice cast.

I think Debney was inspired from John Barry, James Newton Howard, Basil Poledouris and Jonh Williams. The end from track 7 contains the knight theme from "Amanda" by Poledouris and some others resembles Rue's Theme from Hunger Games and Voyager Main Title from Goldsmith. Some temp track influence maybe. But I liked this very much.
(Sorry for my poor english!)
