Went to this on Saturday, it was good.

Didn't understand why the family beside me (3 seats) didn't return for the second set. They were $100 tickets!

IF you're going - ti's an orchestra - you're there for the music. The visual part ... is there but you're there for the music and to watch the musicians play. It's background video that augments the experience, but it's not the primary reason why you're there. I know in this day and age where your eyes, ears and fingers must be 100% occupied doing something that this is unusual (and is probably why there's more than a few people who left ... in all the concerts) but really, sit back, close your eyes and enjoy the music. Nothing on the screen is new.

Thanks a lot. I was really looking forward to it but now that I've heard it i am quite disappointed. How can one put that quality on a CD recording??? Didn't the orchestra tune up before the recording sessions? What's with the brass? They are not just off tune they are most of the time simply playing wrong or fucking up at the higher parts. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate you uploaded this and it's fine for the collection. But shame on the producer to release such a recording. Sadly it supports my professional experieces with czech musicians. Wish I could say something else.

Awesome, thanks! My friend surprised me with tickets to this a few weeks ago for my birthday. We saw it at the Pantages in Hollywood and it was awesome (even though - since it was a surprise - I was wearing my Star Wars shirt. �_�). If I had any complaint about the thing as a whole, it was that they didn't do nearly enough Voyager or DS9, and that they reused way too many of the TOS scenes for the accompanying video. Besides that...it was an awesome experience - especially seeing McCarthy and Chattaway conduct live.
