Fair enough. Not really complaining though, as I said I appreciate him sharing the album. I'm simply asking a valid question. Why complicate things when there's a simpler, more user friendly way to do this?

Because he doesn't share out of kindness to give us goodies. He shares to get money. lol
And he gets money by making everyone who wants the link go through a lot of ads with possible viruses.
Though if you were asking why Google Chrome, because he doesn't trust MEGA as he got all his files deleted not too long ago.

1. google chrome is a browser and not a file sharing service
2. you need to go through 5 seconds of waiting. you don't need to click any ads - stop posting false information
3. it's not my job to keep your pc safe. any file you can download from a "clean" link, can also be infested with malware, viruses, trojan, etc. - you simply trust folks on here not add any of these
4. if you or anyone else doesn't like how a sharer distributes the goods, go and buy it yourself
PonyoBellanote
04-09-2016, 03:33 PM
Why so upset?
1. Congratulations, you win 500 points for pointing out a mistake/typo while writing, do you feel smarter yet?
2. You need to go through 5 seconds, one or two ads and popups, which are mostly adware, which can give viruses, just for what? for you to get money.
3. It's your job to provide secure links and not ad-infested links; ads are spam per se; and spam can get malicious; it wouldn't be anyone's fault if they can get viruses from your links; it'd be yours for posting them with adware just for the sake of the small money you get.
4. The ones who didn't get your share have every right to complain about shit you do wrong, and if you're gonna "share" to annoy users with crappy adwares and to get profit yourself, then why not complain? I need money too, but you wouldn't ever see me putting my shares with monetized links, not only because I'd get shitted on for that, but it'd also be just plain wrong, that's not the point of sharing stuff here.

My CD copy got backordered and wasn't going to arrive until late May or June. I'll give it a few days and then try again from one of the other sellers...now, to make a lossless version of the (more or less) complete music from the police station!

I never even considered the possibility that someone would want to make money off of sharing stuff, I simply thought I might have missed the seminar on the benefits of JDownloader and/or virus infested file hosting services.
Sharing stuff is one thing, but making money off of it is... I don't know. I don't like it. If he doesn't trust MEGA for one reason or another, fine. Good enough reason for me.

Wow, I'll have to chime in to and say that that is one potentially dangerous download. Turning off adware just sends me to a page that doesn't even have an off button if you wait 5 seconds. Or longer. And clicking anywhere on the page you're sent to another which prompts Norton to open up, which says that a whole lot of data is being transferred FROM my computer. Getting out of there opens up another part of Norton that's now searching for bad things.

Many thanks!
Thank you for this file, however,
This link has made my Norton explode just by clicking on the link here.
The wait 5 seconds thing and skip the ad doesn't work, it just keeps loading forever.
You're right, beggars can't be choosers.
But I'm not begging, so I won't be choosing.

Sorry, ostgems, but absolutely nothing else happens if you don't. There's no Skip This Ad button visible anywhere (at least using Windows and Chrome with all my adblocking things disabled) and clicking anything else anywhere leads you to a world of trouble. On the plus side, when Norton was finished doing whatever it did, I decided to run Microsoft's own security scanner. Have about 7T of hard drives in this machine, so I think it will take a few days to run at maximum creak, but it has already discovered a couple of infections that Norton and my other security programs haven't. They're very likely old ones that have somehow previously gone undetected, so this adventure with a really horrible malware infested site has turned out to have been an unexpectedly good thing. I hope. So, thank you??

Hey, what does he cares? He earns money from those who don't use antivirus and click the link nonetheless.
He probably thinks you're making up stuff, or worse yet, won't give a care about how many computers he may destroy with his link. Or say you people are ungrateful turds. Yeah, right.. you guys gotta thank him for the viruses.. lol that's new.

I mean, come on, you can be annoyed when we complain about monetizing, but when serious computer security of the people who download the links in in store, you cannot say we're bothering, making drama, or being "rude or unconsiderate"
ostgems doesn't even need to stop monetizing links if he doesn't want to. But he definitely needs to find a better, safer monetizer for sure.. for the sake of the people who download it.
CLONEMASTER 6.53
04-10-2016, 04:31 PM
Hmm... Yeah, I agree with Ponyo.
It's not cool to have people click on and go through a virus riddled monetizer, especially if they don't have antivirus software, just to get a file.
Just find a different and better monetizer, or at least one that antivirus software won't freak out about, whether it truly has a virus or not, and you'll be alright.
PonyoBellanote
04-10-2016, 04:36 PM
Strangely enough, correct me if I'm wrong, almost, if not all of the monetized, or ad-filled links, tend to be full with, either virus, or adware that clogs up your computer secretly without you knowing, just with opening the ads (cuz you HAVE to take the ads if you want to get the link). But maybe I'm wrong and there's monetizer who don't get shit on your computer, who knows..
