is there a point to it?
all it does is reduce my characters to 1hp and 1mp.

am i missing something? why would i want to use this ability?

Six dragons appear to perform one of three possible results to each character individually in the party:
1) 30% chance HP and MP is fully restored.
2) 35% chance that nothing will happen.
3) 35% chance HP and MP is reduced to 1

I was asking myself this before. But only 30 % of the chance for a full HP and MP restore? That's pretty senseless in my opinion. It's crap. :(

According to the official FFIX strategy guide (Yes, the lacklustre Brady Games one), Six Dragons draws HP and MP from two of your party members, in order to restore the remaining two (I'm not sure where Freya fits into this, as I've never used Six Dragons, so I'm not even sure if this is actually correct.), making it a rather useless ability, although one which is probably best used only as a last resort.

I guess you could say it's kind of like the White Mage's 'Benediction' ability in FFXI (which is another example of an ability that's best used only in dire emergencies), but that's a different barrel of moogles...
