I've tried the mystery times and allways getting the fiend. Which things should I see, to get Rin, or any of the others?
and what happens when you get Rin as the culprit? What secret does he have?

You want the Rin's Mi'ihen Mystery Guide at GameFAQs. It's perfect. It'll get you every culprit that you want.

GameFAQs doesn't allow direct-linking to their guides.

You'll want to pin it on Rikku. The guide didn't work exactly right for me. =(

Getting Rikku as the culprit is required if you're trying to get 100% in one playthrough, something I don't recommend. It also nets an Episode Complete, the ability to ride chocobos on the Highroad, and a funny scene involving Rikku's "punishment."
As for toppling the "big machina," which I assume you mean the hover, the idea is that she didn't. However, her antics distracted the driver, causing it to crash.

Offhand, I think it reduces MP cost to 1. Not a bad thing to have, but not as exciting as some of the other top-end accessories.

Starting to get off the subject there, but I'll answer one more. In the U.S. and I believe the International version, Cat Nip is in the treasure chest that appears after you beat the boss on Cloister 40 of the Via Infinito. In the Japanese version, you get Cat Nip for pushing Tobli into the elevator when you have to push the musicians. Cat Nip makes every attack on the character it's equipped to hit for 9999, but only if they're in critical (yellow HP) status.

Auch. Now that's what I call equipment.
