Finished playing ffx yesterday and i decided to start playing ff-x2 today whilst
the house was quiet.
Unfortunately i got my timing wrong and the missus and daughter came home
and i was only 5 minutes into the game.
Yuna and Rikku as popstars????

I know about first impressions and everything and don't judge a book by
it's cover, but i hope this game gets better!!!!!

Can't judge a book by its cover. Play through the whole thing and make sure to do as much side-stuff as possible.

Got some good bits, but r too short in supply for me. Be prepared for a VERY easy game.I was disapointed. Oh wait till u get to the massage bit =)
All the good stuff is optional quests really, which there r tons of.

I suppose because i have only just completed ff x i will be expecting a lot and be very
judgemental.
Oh well, if its rubbish, i only have to wait until March for the next one!

Seymour butts, after reading your post more carefully, a couple of things you should know:

- Rikku wasn't trying to be a popstar, she was never singing.
- That wasn't really Yuna singing that song.

It's not really that confusing, unless you werne't paying attention. Yunas sphere was stolen (rikku saying "Give it back!") and the "Yuna impersonator" doesnt' even sound like Yuna.....well.....yea.....

If you want competition...try to defeat trema at lvl 70...hihi...impossible

I was a little shocked first time I've seen it. I was also wondering about this popstart crap. The beginning was kinda confusing.

Well, the game is getting a bit better after a while, but it is not one of the best games in my opinion. I expected more from it.... :(

I'm almost finished it, and have been playing it for two weeks, it is way too short.

I didn't like the whole "Yuna is a popstar" thing. But the game does get better (not harder though)

Its much better than other ff like ff9 and its worth playing just to finish off ffx

Does the Fiends turn, your turn, fiends turn, your turn come into affect in ffx-2 because on the first mission the fiends were just battering me whether i had a turn or not.

No, FFX-2 is more or less "Active Time" just like most other FF games.

So i haven't got time to think about my move, great!

You can set the ATB to "wait" in the config menu. That way the enemies will wait while you input a command.

No not impossible, just hellish hard. Using the Catnip is a must, if you want to stand any chance at all.

Unless you have Finale.

First time I played it, I was really disappointed too. I worked my way up to the Magus Sisters and realised I was stuck, so I started over. Just this time, I did all the side quests. There are a lot of them. I found that most of the game was actually optional, and I had just gone after the hotspots. Well, since I now have uncovered most of the story, and all of the 'crazy-graphic' sequences, I think it's an incredible game. Not one of the best FF games, though. I think it almost ruins some of the greatness of FFX, but it also explains some of the things I wondered about.

I played through about the first 2 chapters and got fed up and gave the game back to my friend. I got way too powerful, way too early. It was easy, and the story sucked ass.

To be honest, i kinda rushed through ffx because i was sooo excited about playing ff-2.
Maybe i'm not giving it enough time, but i am so dissapointed!!!
And i'm not just on about the story line, im talking about fighting sequences and everything else that goes with it.
I've now gone back to ffx to find the sisters i obviously missed first time around!

I should have learned my lesson years ago when i rushed through ffv111, got to the end
and couldn't finish it because i had not leveled up.

I don't like the way they have turned a quiet little Yuna into a raver!
Battle modes i don't like, they could have really gone to town on this sequel.
It would have been great to have the original characters back.

What do you mean? Have I missed something? The only thing I can think about with Auron in FFX-2 is at the final battle, where he and the others are giving 'advice' or whatever. I could be wrong though...

You need to get Gippal's Sphere by completing the Rin's Mi'ihen Mystery and pinning Rin as the culprit. The sphere contains a scene with Auron.

Right! Make sure to pin Rin as the culprit. That can be very difficult to do --- you'll want to make sure to the follow the instructions at the Rin's Mi'ihen Mystery Guide at GameFAQs to the letter.
