While I posted the stems (Thread 198129) to the recent Suicide Squad trailer a while back, I could not get a copy of the trailer's mix of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' in stereo... so I decided to make one! Two, actually: one track that has just the song as it was mixed in the trailer (albeit with a few thematic sound design elements included), and another that includes the sound effects that were intended to create a more immersive sound mix - like the clinkity-clink of Deadshot's bullet cases, for instance.
In creating these mixes, I used a variety of sources:
The original song itself; DAK provided me a copy from his CD and even went to the trouble of creating a vinyl rip for me! In the normal "Trailer Mix" (not the "Squad Mix") the hard rock portion uses this vinyl recording as an easter egg of sorts.
The stems; while I only used the music stem for reference, I used the SFX stem to mix in the ones I wanted, since a good bit of them were always meant to be mixed in mono.
The 5.1 mix for the trailer, provided to me by Sparktank, who's going through a bit of a Squad phase himself right now!
The stems for the song, believe it or not! The multitrack for the song leaked some time ago, and I found it pretty helpful in filling in pieces I would have otherwise had a much harder time with (especially for the "Trailer Mix")
Some fun facts about the remix of the song: it was done by The Hit House, who recently have been getting more and more neat remix jobs. The job was supervised by Scott Miller.
Both files are 16-bit lossless, 48kHz.
