Hi there!
During my Guardians Of The Galaxy (Complete Score) (Thread 189458) project, I had to go on the search for non re-masters/old versions of the various tracks used in the movie, as the versions on the official "Awesome Mix Vol. 1" are "remastered" (if you can call it that ... they're just brickwalled and dynamic-range compressed) - which is not very awesome.
Here are some waveform examples to show you why I did this:
Track 1, above is OST version, below is old version:

Track 3, same:

Not only are the LOUD, but mastered by modern standards - which don't work for this kind of music, in my opinion at least. It's a shame they used such terrible sounding versions for the OST, as they used the proper sounding ones in the movie.
Searching for all the tracks in flac took quite some time and patience (and luck that some very old torrents were still alive), and after I finished the project I thought why not do a release with the full tracks instead of the film-edits. I started this project quite some time ago, about half a year now, I only now got around to finalising it, went through some hoops which will be detailed below, but here it is - the Awesome Edition of the Awesome Mix Vol. 1:

Password is "pelvicsorcery".
Tracklist is the same as the official release, but for good measure:
01 - Hooked On A Feeling
02 - Go All The Way
03 - Spirit In The Sky
04 - Moonage Daydream
05 - Fooled Around And Fell In Love
06 - I'm Not In Love
07 - I Want You Back
08 - Come And Get Your Love
09 - Cherry Bomb
10 - Escape (The Pina Colada Song)
11 - O-o-h Child
12 - Ain't No Mountain High Enough
Some notes:
"Ain't No Mountain High Enough" is not any of the versions officially released, but again the stereo remaster me and my friend already created for the Complete Score. This was achieved by panning various tracks left and right (exactly like it was done in the movie) to create a nice stereo feeling. This is the one that took the longest, as somehow my friend and I never really found the time to do the very simple changes to his previous master.
"Escape (The Pina Colada Song)" is part Radio Mix (which sounded more rounded in my opinion) and part Album Mix (which is longer, but doesn't sound as nice). The end of the Album Mix was spliced with the Radio Mix, and the Album Mix got a very slight LF Max Punch addition (really, very slight. You can barely hear it).
"Come And Get Your Love" is the radio version, cut down from the longer version, like on the OST.
And that's about it, actually. There shouldn't be any updates to this, I tried to make sure to go through the revisions before uploading this ... you never know, though :P
Enjoy listening to this :)
