hey all --

my name's amanda and my friends and i are making a live action FFX-2 video -- just for the heck of it.

we were just wanting to hear a few opinions about this, whether you guys want to see any scenes and such. we do have the following characters already:

Yuna
Rikku
Paine
Leblanc
Lenne
Possibly a Shuyin...we're still looking though.

hopefully this fan film will be finished by this summer, or the end of this summer.

we might even send it to square when we're finished!

if you have any questions, comments, opinions...feel free to ask! I'll try to get on as much as possible.

lol, yeah, that's true.

we're trying to stay 100% true to the game, although hair colors might be off because of the lack of money, so hopefully people will understand that.

if we travel around to enough conventions, hopefully a wide range of people will see it -- you might recognize us! hopefully ^_~

hey guys, i'm back --

alright. first things first -- it might be posted online if we ever get the chance. for one thing, we might not find a site to host it, then the whole deal of bandwith has to come up, file size, etc. it's going to be a little over 30 minutes, and you can imagine how big of a file it would be.

about leblanc -- we do have one, but sadly, the logos and ormi package just might be a bit too much. considering costumes, money (we ARE spending our own pocket money) time, and finding people willing to do this, we're on a tight budget and schedule. if you don't mind (they aren't THAT essential to the story, are they?) they won't be in there at all. we'll find a way to make it ok without the two, ok? =)

No guarentees about nooj, gippal & baralai (sad sounding, i know. but there aren't many guys out there who are willing to do this :P) baralai is a HUGE mabye and Gippal, eh, we're working on it. Nooj -- don't get your hopes up...sorry. everybody we've asked said NO NO NO (we still have a few more to question, but they're almost guarenteed no's too)

we're having dress rehersal on monday - wish us luck ^_~ remember, it's just a fan film, so it probably will never become nothing major. unless we send it to square...and maybe we'll see what happens from that point on ^_^ if we ever do..^_^

Well, to host something that could be as large as that, it can cost a fair of chunk of change.

yes, it can cost a lot of money, so hopefully we'll just put it on a DVD, send it to square and hope they like it enough to do something with it. if not, i just hope they'll appreciate the fact some girls liked their game enough to make a video out of their game ^^

When will the movie be finished?and im agreeing with agent 0042, if it was a long movie the expense for a web site would be alot. what you should make it on dvd and sell it on EBAY, if you do i will by one.

Anyway, yes, it can cost a lot of money but we'll do all that we can.

Updates 3/7/05

- Hair colors are going to be right! yay!
- We found a Shuyin, he's pretty good, too.
- Rikku's costume is 95% finished along w/ Paine's, Yuna's is still under progress. Leblancs and Shuyin's are in planning -- they won't come into filming until much later though.
- Yuna songstress outfit complete.

We can't sell it on ebay, lol!! if we were caught we would get totally sued for that, I really don't want to get myself or my friends in that kind of trouble. We technically are using all of their copyrighted stuff without their permission --- talk about totally breaking the laws. If we send it to square and they are light-hearted enough to not immediately sue us (lol i really doubt they will) we'll send them the whole thing to see what they think, and then it will have to go on from there.

It would be really cool if they liked it so much that they actually helped in the funding. But, unfortunatly, that is just wishful thinking, isn't it.

So even if you can't sell it, or impress Square-Enix or whatever, is it still gonna be posted online for us to see?

I'd love to see the finnished film so I hope you manage to get it on the web somewhere. I find it strange that you were having problems finding people to play parts though cause I'd love to be in an FF film.:)

Chances are, it all depends. We're still pondering on whether to make this open to the public...most likely PICTURES will be posted when finished (we have to get permission from every single crew member PLUS Square Enix. Technically we're doing this without their permission with their music, script, characters, etc. etc. EVEN though it's just a FAN film) Fan films aren't common on the internet at all so the whole problem of getting sued is one thing we have to consider O_O I know, call it crazy, but Square does have a right to everything in X-2, they created it.

Anyway, lol we are having a hard time finding some characters because most boys aren't willing to participate in this...AT LEAST WE HAVE OUR PERFECT SHUYIN!!! ^_^ that was very fortunate...so it'll be a great event if we find any more guys to be in it...
