Several years ago I compiled a combination Original Cast Soundtrack album from the 1942 classic, “Holiday Inn”, using both actual sound track pre-recordings from a reel to reel of acetate and shellac playback discs a friend transferred in the 1950s of various sound track performances from films Crosby made at Paramount in the 1940s and Decca re-recordings, which has proven quite enjoyable, especially at this time of year. Although some of this material has shown up over the years in bootleg LPs & CDs, I believe this compilation sounds better than most despite the extra noise on acetates.
