Well, i was just reading online that people say you should be level 50-60 to beat zeromus, i got to him earlier today, my guys are level 39-40 and i was destroyed, since i really dont feel like leveling up for 10+ hours, (since my total game time is 15 hours) does anyone have a savestate or can link one for me, so i can just finish it already?

I'm sure it won't take an hour per level, especially if you're fighting strong enough enemies.

I was at level 60-65 when I beat it...it wasn't super easy like alot of FF Final bosses nowadays though...

I was level 60, but the first time around I cocked up the fight big time and got my ass handed to me on a plate, the second time around however....

whats the best strategy to beat him, which summons/spells?

hit him hard, hit him fast, and cure as often as you can.

I beat him by having Kain jump ( unless he needed Hp ), Cecil fighting normaly, Edge using Shurinkans then fighting normally, Rosa Curing every turn and Ryda summoning Bahamut.

it worked for me but really just keep your HP up and you should be fine...

I dont know why but i found training fun in this game. ( no idea why though )
You level up in no time in Bahammuts place on the moon. It really dosn't take TOO long.

Luna is pretty good all over especially if you Ko a couple of characters ( levels up the living faster)

First: Shut up, faggot.

Second: If you really have to, Zend, get a save state editor. While you really should probably just level up the right way, the editor will let you edit anything about your characters, including experience. So you could just add whatever experience you want to your character, fight one battle, and your characters will all gain several levels. It's your call, though, whether you want to do it the proper way or not.

Thanks, i already beat it a few days ago though, i just spent about 6 hours leveling up normally, to level 59-60 and it was a piece of cake, i beat it with only edge cecil and rosa though, it was easier that way.

See? Levelling up ten levels isn't so bad!

Zend

It rather annoyed me, and i had to go 20 levels, and I'd have to say IV is my least favorite of all the classics after beating it.

i actually leveled up in the moons core, and i dont want to waste my time trying to get armor you dont need when theres so many other games to play.

You have to use the Alert Item in the robot Iirc, this summons a creature that drops another tail, you know what to do with the tail right?

Black Waltz
01-19-2005, 11:10 PM
yes but the pink puff didnt drop the tail, plus its getting annoying becuase with out the alert u fight a pink puff like 1/60 battles and the drop rate for the tail is like 1/1000 it seems..

Zend

so why not just finish it and play another game?

OMG Zend, You truly stained the final fantasy name. First you said that you rushed through the game, Second you want a cheat tool to let you beat the final boss easier, 3rd you say that it takes 10 hours to level up a guy from level 40-55 and although i never played final fantasy 4 i Know it won't be close to that length of time, and last but not least you tell people to rush through the game like you did. Where is the fun in rushing through a game. If you don't like the game then don't play it at all period. Don't just think final fantasy is like an arcade shooting game or action stunt game where you can just beat in a day or 2 and forget about it. Even though i never played this game, i can still tell you that playing to enjoy the story is better than playing to beat the game. And part of the story is the the weopons and armor and secret quest and items they have in that game. If you say you beat the game then you wrong. You haven't truly beaten the game till you have every items and attained every challenge and mini quest to a maximum point. Attain those and show me prove than i will take back my words.

Time is important when you have alot of things to do, and i have many other more fun games to play.

btw you talk about final fantasy like its god or something, sure its a good series, but its not THAT important...not important enough to "stain" it.

You beat me to it. And same to you, thelittlehomo.

And I have not played FFv for a little while now but isn't there something you steal from Zeromus to make him easier or is this on a different FF?

yes but the pink puff didnt drop the tail, plus its getting annoying becuase with out the alert u fight a pink puff like 1/60 battles and the drop rate for the tail is like 1/1000 it seems..

There is a 1/64 chance that you will encounter a PinkPuff and a 1/64 chance that one will drop a pink tail (thats 1/128). If you use alert, you dont have to bother with the first fraction as you encouter them automatically, so your chances are literally halved to 1/64.

Although I usually like to run around collecting things, I only obtained one adamant armour. Much too tedious to get 5.

That sounds a tad too insane for me. Although I do not agree with character editors/ savestates and the like, one can say that they 'beat' the game if they reached the end unscathed. To 'master' it is another matter completely. I for one, have completeed everything thing in IV, but the most adamant armours I have ever had is 2. Yet I still claim that I 'beat' the game. Is that such a horrible thing?

I mean like at least try out everything in the game.

Yes, your supposed to steal the dark matter from him lowering his big bang attack, although i spent half an hour trying to steal it i got nothing, so i just went ahead and beat it. And yes i cant say i mastered it, because i didnt spend 20 hours trying to get an item to make armor you dont need....

I am playing my other fun games currently =) just so you know this topic is old and i beat that game a couple weeks ago.
