I have to admit, given this one multiple listens now, I cannot help but be some what disappointed with the vast differences in sound quality between the complete presentation and original album release masters. It's night and day. The complete tracks sound dated and muddy compared to the practically new sounding original presentation disc 2. I'm thankful that any restoration was done at all and it's still great having the complete score finally. I will be sticking with (for the most part) the original album tracks. Just my two cents though.

I can only hope that the new restoration of Jaws is good enough to be able to sound as good as those Jaws 2 original album masters, without having to reach for any sort of "re-recording" release.

I've often thought that the music just before and during the title screen (Jaws 2 Main Title, 00:35 - 00:56) is very much in the tradition of another Universal aquatic menace: the Creature from the Black Lagoon. I'm referring to the opening music in any of the Creature movies, but especially as heard in Revenge of the Creature.
