I know and I'm dreading updating them all. I don't have my Mac and haven't for the last two days. I just typed up Sweeney Todd from my phone. It was annoying.

What's wrong with it now?

Nothing, I just haven't had the time or energy to be on it. Felt lousy the last few days. So I make reserved posts while I'm doing other things, such as not being on my Mac. I can at least keep an eye on this thread. Plus, if I make a reserve, someone else is able to make a post - like hack3rman's been doing. If I don't make a post (and you can't always rely on others), he can't make another one for at least 45 minutes. And I know what that's like - posting a set and then waiting for someone else to come along. It sucks.

Yes, but a custom cover that was made. Nothing official. However, when I downloaded the complete score when it was posted a few years ago, it had the slates intact. So like I said, I don't know what the deal is. Guess we just gotta wait for this guy to post the real slates. Until then, my post will not change.

Well, I'm not saying it makes it official, I'm just saying it just give a little more support to the possibility that they may be legitimate, and the fact that the same slates are on JWFan and the Film Cue Database Blogs.

I was thinking about TFA sessions... In the Blu-Ray featurette "John Williams: The Seventh Symphony" you can see "6M50 R v2" there was also the title but I coundn't read it, but it was possibly referred to Leia's appearence after Rey's abduction. That means there's a HUGE amount of cues for the sessions.

And R means "Revised", so there's quite a few versions of 6m50

I wonder how many cues did Williams compose... I'd say almost one hundred, counting alternates and suites...

Given that the music for the Into Darkness End Credits is modified versions of 11M52 from the original film's score, I believe they've used those sheets. The way I see it is that the official slates are 8M55a-8M55C, quoted from ST 11M52. Rather than write entirely new sheets, he just used the sheets for 11M52, with modifications in certain places.

Yeah we have the complete for the first two but not the sessions. There sessions for the first one has more material. More alternates, more cues with added/removed choir and a few film mixes. I've seen the cue list.

They're definitely not complete. Those are chronological scores but there are several pieces missing from each, such as the original ending of ST2009 11M51 (heard in a blu-ray documentary, I believe) or the alternative version of "Khan Brought On Board" (which got tracked into Meld-Merized).

I Have To Agree, What Is So Exciting About These ?

I mean, it's cool to know and such, but to the point of excitement? I know I love The Book of Life but.. the slates does not mean anything other than you can know the complete score's names I guess. It also doesn't mean the score is around, so.

I'd just assumed the score would've been around, considering I have no idea how these get out.

I wonder if there are at all. 23 cues for the Complete Score... I remember while watching the film I waited sort of half an hour until the first cue played.

1.) Point me in the direction of this "original leak"

2.) Why on earth would 1m01 be Strength and Honor? That makes no sense. That line is not spoken till way on in the film. The opening cue plays over the DreamWorks and Universal logos. "Strength and Honor" has absolutely zero significance at that point.

That "original leak" is Amanda's Gladiator thread? Or there are some more relevant ones? I don't know the history of the Gladiator score threads :)

Honestly, I've grown to like slates. Though I was more keen on titles at first, my inner autism has recognized that identifying specific choice of letters and numbers benefit my learning in the end. It helps that there's an actual purpose to them. I've recently learned that film slates are actually the thing editors refer to when going through footage, which makes it all the more cooler to me.

It's been a particularly helpful tool in making my first film mix. It's been much easier to refer to my files with slates than ones that are clearly fan made.

It is lovely looking, though "like nice and nice" doesn't tell me much.
