Composer Don Davis wrote a cue for the T-Rex VS
Spinosaurus Scene in Jurassic Park III, but somehow
it was later removed from the final cut.

However the cue can be found in official soundtrack
release. Therefore it provides a chance to see how the
scene was originally imagined.

In the cue you can hear John Williams' T-Rex motif
and Don Davis' Spinosaurus motif mingling with each
other, but the length of the cue and the length of the
footage don't match, most likely due to editing after
removing the score. So I located the timing of these
motifs and deducted how the music should sync with
on-screen action. Result is pretty satisfying.

It is really common to have recorded music removed from
final cut (ahek-ahek, Empire Strikes Back), putting them
back on really gives an interesting insight into the creative
process.

Thanks for posting this! I've always wondered how the actiony-bits of in the middle of that cue would have fit on screen, before they had to trim the scene itself because they were having trouble with the effects. the beginning of the cue was quite clear, but I never figured out the rest of it. Bravo!
