South Bound was 2007 feature film about a free-spirited and dysfunctional family whose unconventional behavior forces them to move south to an island where they aren't known. Unfortunately, the parents get into a conflict with corrupt developers and are arrested, escape, and are forced to live as fugitives until the children manage to reunite the family. There are 20 score tracks by Oshima, which have a laid-back island sound (piano/guitar/bongos) and seem like variations on 1 or 2 main themes. The final track is a little song for school kids by Morita Yoshimitsu.
Released on Sony (Japan) #AICL-1856 JAPAN in 2007.
