Yep, I made a quick check and it seems the same but in different order and file-size.

First I thought the "Complete & Rejected" was created by someone from this forum, but after searching, no results. So I really don't know who is the author. Discogs says "Remastered Records ‎- BT-KBCD-05C" but this label does not exist, and no more info available.

About "Complete & Rejected", the 5th release, I checked now track by track and are exactly the same in size, and lenght (minutes/seconds/miliseconds), and mastering that "Expanded V1 + V2", so I deleted the whole folder, someone found and took the version of this forum and ordered the tracks differently in its own way, nothing more.

I'm going slow because there's a lot of duplicated s**t (I don't know who created so many versions, but if you read me, I hate you). First I thought it would take me a few hours, but the real problem is my mental fatigue doing it. I ask for patience, meanwhile I'm going to write the process between breaks. Thanks to HunterTech for his help providing the new files. If someone have the Klaus Badelt side in lossless, would be very helpful, because with this I would just need to keep the alternate versions and delete the rest.


STEP 1 | Comparison of titles & length #1 (finished)


Some wrong names between editions, with different titles but identical inside (example: two tracks called "Blue", and a third called "Yellow", but this Yellow is also a Blue with wrong title). Why? I don't know. But it is. Maybe someone thought it would be fun to change the names to confuse. But no, it's not fun.

✓ Checked with the lossless sources (Brian Tyler side and Official Soundtrack side), written correctly and 73 duplicates in MP3 deleted.
203 tracks remaining.

STEP 2 | Comparison of titles & length #2 (active)


Same process, but now comparing the remaining MP3s with MP3s, and separately the Klaus Badelt side in M4A.

184 tracks remaining.

Guys, I do not know if continue, this surpassed me, since the last update every time I try to start again I give up, and I'm really really tired, so tired that I'm starting to get disgusted. The main problem is that the leaked or edited tracks have many long silences at the beginning and the end (especially the Badelt's score...........), so since I finished selecting by length and titles, the method now is check track by track into the Adobe Audition, and I still having 162 tracks to check... so I need to remember what track is which... at the same time... every time I drag another one. I have my head right now that is a mess, I'm about to delete everything and send this f****ng sh*t far away.

https://audiotrimmer.com/# is what I've used to trim the files. It seems that it doesn't re-encode the files with .m4a, but does with .mp3 for some odd reason. Either way, it was what I was using when I was trimming the solo Badelt set.

It is not about difficulty or software, but will...

Brian Tyler is my favorite composer (as I said many times) and "Constantine" from my Top 5 of him (if someone looks at my past messages will see that I uploaded this photo () from my collection), that's why I wanted to start this """""thing"""" (because now calling it "project" is laughable). When I saw that all the material was available and we just needed to classify it, I thought "Bah, easy.", but reality blew up in my face. I started well, I lasted a few days well, but in the end I tired of spending hours and hours on something that is totally bad because it was released/leaked bad (MP3, poor codec compression used, bad editing, long silences everywhere, track names mispelled or wrong, duplicated and edited files, etc, etc), for each track on MP3 I have even lost 10 minutes analyzing very VERY small differences in the spectrum with zoom +300% simply to know which has the best quality (and I started with more than 200 tracks...).

Maybe in the future there will be an official expanded edition (unlikely, but rarer things have been seen), but in this case in the end after weeks I finally decided it was a waste of time in my life that was not worth it, if we had all the tracks in lossless or the MP3 files in good compression it would be another story, but it's not the case, really frustrating.

I uploaded the remaining files to check from the "Rejected", "Expanded 1" and "Expanded 2" if someone want to continue with the crusade...
