In Russell's auto-biography she wrote how Hayley Mills would stick out her tongue when Russell was turned away, the young girl had no respect for the veteran actress. Fast forward a hundred years, a special program on PBS dedicated to Russell's life featured Hayley Mills on camera stating how much she regretted not getting to know this wonderful woman.

Youth is wasted on the young.
