This expanded version of THE BOY FRIEND soundtrack was assembled and remixed from a combination of multi channel pre-recordings and M&E elements, but some of the vocals which were performed in the movie's Boy Friend on stage segments with just the piano were actually recorded live during filming (beginning of the song, "The Boy Friend", for instance) and a few other portions of songs. No separate pre-recordings were made of these segments. Despite the occasional stage sound effects, I think you will find this mix of the essentially complete song and dance numbers most musically satisfying. At a running time of 76 minutes, this version is double the length of the MGM soundtrack album.
