Joe Kraemer has published the first track from his score for the action thriller Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation.

The soundtrack is set to be released on August 4, by La-La Land Records.

Kraemer has done better. This one sounds like it's straight from the "spy-movie-score-chase-scene-playbook."

I've never heard this guy before, but I plan to before I see Rogue Nation. I know a lot of people like Jack Reacher, which has been posted in complete, so I have that to listen to. But not before I see the film (for the first time)...

I recommend you check out McQuarrie's first film, Way of the Gun. It's very good and Kraemer's score is excellent. BTW, McQuarrie wrote The Usual Suspects and tried for years to get his script about Alexander The Great on screen. He became a director in pursuit of that goal. And he directed Jack Reacher, one of Cruise's better films of the last few years.

I am seriously bummed that Giacchino isn't back. I didn't realize he wasn't returning. :(

I'll be seeing this movie on opening day!
It looks really good, and tested great with audiences, better than Ghost Protocol in fact.
The score is really good too apparently.

Just saw the film and thought this was the best M:I score by far.

What I think is sort of cool about the M:I series is that it's been going on for twenty years now, and each film has a distinctive style. I liked Giacchino in 3 and 4, but I think a different composer keeps up with that system of diversity the series has.

I could only listen to the first track (The A400) and found it actually quite boring, just a bugging boom-boom kept coming around and around. Maybe I am too old for this.....

Sorry I have to correct myself. I didn't find it boring, but in a way annoying. It reminded me of the terrible Bond scores made by David Arnold: over the top and not pleasant to listen to.

I am very fond of Arnold's contributions to Bond, however, most of my favorite cues from 'The World Is Not Enough' weren't released. I do see the similarities to Kraemer, though.
