Wow, it just clicked with me that with rikku being 17 and yuna being 18 in ffx2 that they wuz 15, and 16 in ffx, i strike that very odd for a teen at those ages to be going around killin things, or is it just me? just think about it, i wonder how auron felt like hanging with kids..hmmm opinions?

i thought yuna was 19 in x-2 and paine 18..
i dont think it's odd for teenagers to kill in Spira because the whole world is just swarming with fiends, so the people..even kids, i think, have no choice but to do it, right? They do it to protect others and themselves.

As for Auron, maybe he preferred the company of people his age but it's alright for him to hang out w/teens as well because they could look up to him as a rolemodel or a mentor..he's been a guardian for a long time and he could use his experience to teach them (imo).

Whoa, you so haven't played Kingdom Hearts, have you? Take a look at Sora. He's like what, maybe 12? And I think most of the characters in other FF games, at least the more recent ones, generally average around 16 or 17.

lol no i havent played kindom hearts yet, lol i heard it wuz good, but yeah its not really a Big deal, its just maybe square-enix can do some more different age groups in later products, i mean the ages that the characters are, is like a major point in there lifes, but i think they should toss in some more adult like char. and possibly adult problems, lol, and just think about all them perverted ppl that wack off to rikku porn, its underage! lol

Well, it's fair to say that there are both characters ranging from really young to really old.

Cid in FFVII I think was around 30-something. Red XIII was 48 years old, but 16 in terms of development for his people. A lot of the more authority-type figures tend to be a bit older, i.e. Rin, Isaaru, etc. etc. And then, of course, there's Shuyin, Lenne and a certain other character who's a huge spoiler if you don't know who are all 1000 years old or so.


P.S.: Just consider what demo Square Enix is targeting these games at and it's easy to understand why the characters generally are the ages they are.

P.P.S.: Forget Eiko. What about Vivi? He's like, maybe, half a year old? :D

The most FF character act older than they are. I don't think Auron had problems with hanging around all these "kids" . He's just older, but not an old man yet (even if he looks like an old man already). So, why should it be a problem?

it seems to be some sort of pattern in FF games, very few of the main characters seem to be above the age of 23-24 or so... how old's cloud, tifa and esp. barrett in VII??

i think Yuna's only 18 in X-2, rikku's 17, and Paine's 19. which, considering the assumption that most of the other summoners you meet (kill/send/whatever!) in FFX, seems a little bit strange that she'd bedoing her pilgrimage so early in her life. Eiko's 6, i'm not 100% sure, but i think Vivi's 8-9, but the only reason they're along for the ride's that it's probably better for them, than being abandoned on their own, so i can understand Zidane's reasoning (wow!! never thought i'd say THAT!!!) LOL! VIII's characters are all 17-18, which makes sense, given they're all about to leave school, but their are elder characters, so it's not like it's completely unbelievable that they'd be no older than me i guess!

Well, I'm glad all the characters have different ages. It would be boring, if all were around 16-18 years old. There are older people in the world too, and not only teenies. A game with different characters and different ages make a game more interesting. :)

And having older characters in the game, makes older poeple playing these games too. This is what I believe at least. ;)

seriously. basically all ages can be found somewhere. i thought Yuna was 17 in X but whatever. Auron is the one who's only like 35 but he looks like 51.

look in walkthroughs they'll tell you their ages and like someone said booklets too. I don't care about the ages (as long as the main characters en't old age pensioners) its just a game really...and yes Yuna's = 19, Paine = 18 and Rikku = 17 which makes them (in X) Yuna = 17, Paine (altohugh not in it) = 16 and Rikku = 15 :)

Rikku being 15 in the first one would sure explain her voice. I still maintain the idea that she looked like a starving ape. The only thing that suprises me is he body at the age of 15. She looked so different when comparing her to other young people who were also youngish.

Rikku probably looked different to those other characters because she was a main character and they tried to make her stand out just like the others.

I mean, the residents of Spira...you go to one place and they'll be a woman in blue and then you'll travel somewhere else and there'd be the same woman! It's like clones...lol

Yuna is 16 in x and x-2 is 2 years later so that 18 , rikku is a year younger so thats 17 and i thought paine was 18 too ?
