The recordings themeselves were equal to the then famous Classic Film Scores series on RCA Records produced throughout the mid 70’s
The sound quality on these records was audiophile quality and CD quality or better. I have wanted to copy these 3 Lps for many years and now that dream has come true with Volume 1
here for you all to enjoy. The recordings and music are a legacy to a genius composer and musician.
Its a travesty these classic recordings have never been preserved or released on to CD. I did hear that the tapes for all 3 albums have been lost which is really sad. As a final note these 3 Lps would not exsist if it was not for the work and collaboration of Christopher Palmer now sadly missed also. This also is a legacy to him. Please add some reviews or items about these recordings

that sure will not fit a CD!! lol
Thank you very much for your effort.
I was told a hundred years ago that the master tapes went missing from the vaults.
So…. this music is up for grabs. The suites are in many ways better than the original soundtracks.
Sadly true…..I work on film music restorations for a small German CD label and a couple of years ago we went out on a limb to maybe release these recordings from the original masters. I contacted Universal and actually got a reply….that the tapes are lost. Such a shame….if well done LP transfers sound breathtaking just imagine how a proper remastering from the original masters would sound!
