No.
I think it would require a lot of time and effort, and I can't see the market for it. In other words, in order to make a profit, they would have to accelerate schedules and release a crappy game, or take ages with each and stagger the time frames so they can at least break even.
Any true Final Fantasy fan doesn't need good graphics to recognise that the classics have excellent gameplay - they're recognisable as is. I would be extremely happy if Square follows up its FF3 DS remake with FF4, 5 and 6 - handhelds are definately the best way to enjoy these classics, because the pixelization isn't as noticable on the small screen.

I kinda agree... but i would like to see games like FF3 and Bahamuts Lagoon on PSX, not Nintendo DS... Mainly cos i don't have the money to buy the new handheld device :(

Bahamut Lagoon would be really nice on the GBA, I would absolutly love it if that happened.

It's not likely, considering that most people aren't even aware of its existence =/
It is a quirky little game though - and definately the best graphics that Square pulled off on the SNES.
Seeing as though Square's releasing FF3 on the DS though, I can't see them bringing any more remakes to the GBA - most likely any SNES remakes of their games will end up on the DS. I'm not complaining though - I'll be getting a DS anyway, and the price will most likely drop when the PSP hits the market.
Edna: Bahamut Lagoon was and still is a very fun game.
That being said; it also resembles FFT which in my opinion is far better.
Zulu: Talk, talk, talk, talk Edna.

Yeah, I think I'll be getting DoS. I am getting a PSP though. I wish they would put FF3 or something FF on the PSP...

I don't think remaking them completely would be very practical. I was happy enough with the conversions. I think complete remakes would ruin the classical feeling of the games. :whatever:
Does it really matter as long as they keep the original versions in print?

Ecxept they DON'T for most of these. Do you see NES games still being made? Or even SNES.
Have you been living under a rock or something? They're nearly all on PS now, amigo.

A simple one word answer to this : NO. Leave as they are now, that way they'll stay as classics!
I think it would be somewhat cool, but new stories are always good, besides they would lose their classic element, lets just remember them as they are.
