Since her passing a lot has been said and written about Elizabeth Taylor, who I greatly admired as a film actress. Although musicals were certainly not Taylor's forte, she did inspire some of the best composers of Hollywood's Golden Age to write memorable music to underscore her screen characters and it moved me to compile for my IPod a program of themes from 18 of her films. It is, for the most part, strictly instrumental. Taylor's voice is nowhere to be heard. This is a Musical Remembrance where the composer's music gets to speak for her. The CD length program runs about 77 minutes. The file includes a JPEG of an insert I designed which can be printed on an 8x10 paper and cut to fit in a slim CD jewel case. The cover art is Taylor, as she was seen most unforgettably by me in "Raintree County".
