Ok, there I said it. These have to be the biggest, suck-ass filehosts..

And the [even] sadder part, some people here swear by these.

it is annoying, but free also, so not complaining... :)

Do we seriously need to remind you you can always "disregard" and look for another source? Ungrateful piece of scum. You're offered chances to get stuff illegally, for free, and you have the guts to complain? I think folks like you should be wiped off the E., instead.

If you don't like the choice of file hosts... by all means, state what's wrong with them in factual terms and suggest better alternatives... No uploader would turn down genuine friendly advice. That's quite separate from the current issue, which is why it's necessary to propose violence against them for offering their free things in a manner that slightly inconveniences you. :)

:this: plus, if OP is lenient, I'm pretty sure asking others to re-up to a mirror wouldn't hurt.
On several occassions, where OP stated "if links die, I won't re-up", and others ask for mirrors, I'll re-up to MEGA.
I've seen others do it as well.
For larger soundtracks that have high volume viewings and postings.

They could be uploading to other sites. Where those sites use UL and other hosts frequently.

Before private torrents for movies, I would frequent about 4-5 different forums, where a majority of uploaders used Netload, Uploaded, and a couple other hosts. And the names I look for are, sure enough, on all the forums I go to and the links, and even the posts are carbon copies of each other.
I finally caved in and bought a subscription to Netload. It was nice for the time I had it.

Multi-posters (across forums) generally don't have time to repsond to anything besides "link's dead" or extraction error-related posts.
And, they also post more than just music.

One forum I go to for software, there's one user that will use up to 5 different hosts.
When the only one that remains active is UL, I just leave it in JDownloader until it screams at me about the captcha.

The unique posters here will use different hosts other than UL. They're not likely to be cross-posting on multiple forums.
Maybe a few, but their host choices are not mainstream as UL.
CdS, ostgems, SonicAdventure... they all have unique hosting choices over mainstreams like UL and MEGA (where MEGA can often be associated with issues).

Uploaded isn't so bad. I pretty much avoid anything uploaded to DF though.

Folks, don't forget a very simple (and likely, given how easily this forum turns up in searches) possibility: some users may avoid file-hosts just because they had an account there, but thanks to one too many DMCA strike against "their" files, it got terminated. I don't know many users willing to re-use the same file-host which wiped all their uploads.

The OP could have worded him/her~self better. At any rate, time for some trivia:

- tapoktro's posts initially were offering mega.co.nz links, I guess he switched because of too much reports and users stating they had troubles downloading from MEGA.
- He's not the only one trying to make money out of downloads, seen many Adfly+Linkbuck+etc. links myself (and, actually, those folks which do use that kind of things aren't really making much money).

This is a really good point. If "Filehost A" screws you over, you're going to avoid them until the day you die. Having all your stuff arbitrarily deleted... HURTS a surprisingly great deal! :(
