qobuz sells a 24Bit-48khz version, that's better than any CD can do.

After listening to this album I have a mixed feeling. On the one hand it is well-produced but on the other hand it sounds very... humble. I still like Jason's work on first Dead Space, but that's the only really catchy soundtrack from mr. Graves for me. I'm pretty sure if someone like Cris Velasco or Kevin Riepl was a composer it would sound richier and more thematic. Never played the game. Gonna play it soon. So we'll see how it sounds in-game.
For now it's 2,5/5.

just started to play the game. Visuals are stunning, plot is very good so far but the music is still meh in my opinion. Just not my cup of tea, you know.
But hey! FunnyML some unreleased or expanded cues are always welcome. =)

Holy crap, I love this score. I had no idea what I was going into, I figured a more typical horror score, like Dead Space or Evil Within, but my word, I freaking love it!!!

THE ORDER: 1886 RIPPING PROJECT

A FEW WORDS ABOUT THIS RIP
Jason Graves wrote about 2 hours of music for the game, 65 minutes have been released on the OST. The game features 16 chapters divided into scenes, plus a prologue and epilogue chapter.
The music files are stored as lossy OGG files, Wwise is used to control the music system. I used the digital TOSlink output from the PS4 and a digital copy of the game for this analog rip.
The music can be isolated in the options menu, however some cues have muffled segments (during slow-motion QTE's) and SFX mixed into them, so I can't promise they will be included in the final version. Sweeteners (short cues that play on top of other music files to accentuate certain moments) cannot be isolated and therefore will not be included.

It hasn't been figured out yet how to decrypt PS4's PKG files, so this analog method is the only way to go for now. I will update this post whenever I finished another scene.

By the way, does anybody have the Collector's or Premium Edition of the game? The digital soundtrack has 24 tracks, the regular OST only had 21. Those bonus tracks are Under Siege, Covert Mission, Resistance. I do have those tracks (and they will be incorporated into the rip), but they are transcodes.

I spent the last days working on my improved Heavy Rain rip. Hope to have some time for The Order when that one's finished. In the meantime I had someone scrubbing through the files for me to see if there's a better way to get the music. Doesn't seem like it for now.

Thanks for sharing. I had been looking forward to this game since it was hyped as being a story-first game (I hate mindless action or sports games), but after the reviews hit my interested crumbled. I guess I'll give this score a chance and see if it sparks up any interest for me in playing the game.
