Just wondering if anyone is planning on buying FF 1 and 2 Dawn of Souls for GBA?

I'm so glad that this game was announced - I have Final Fantasy Origins for my PS, but I never really had time to get into it. Dawn of Souls will be my first chance to really play Final Fantasy I and II, and I usually finish all the games I get for my GBA.
I'm looking forward to playing my first real portable Final Fantasy! If they ported 4, 5 and 6 to the DS as well as 3, i'd be in heaven.

I've never played Final Fantasy I or II before, so when two games come out for the price of one, of course I'm spending the dough to get it.
Even if they weren't packaged together, I would still buy it just for a new experience.

Even if you have Origins, you should still definately buy Dawn of Souls. Don't think that this is just another game being ported to a different system; It's a lot more than that.

Smokey's right - the graphics have been updated again, gameplay has been tweaked and balanced, and both games have been expanded. Definately worth your dollar.
Especially at the GBA game RRP.

i don't it seems a bit dodgy to me. may just be a scheme to secretly deliver another FF Legends to us. o_O
Edna: Nah, I don't think I'm gonna buy it.
Zulu: We have both of the games in FFOrigins and we've finished them both; so therefore it would be a waste of money to buy it.

I think I'll buy it. I want a FF game I can play anywhere. I wish they would release FF3 for PSP though. Or at least PSX/PS2. I don't plan on buying a DS, but FF3 is my favorite.
O, and they added 12 new bosses (from FF4-6) and 4 new random dungeons that are harder than Chaos in DoS.

I have never owned a portable game system before, but I just bought a black SP so I could play DoS and Tactics Advance. I can't wait until it all gets here! I just ordered it last night. I want to play all the FF games!
So, since I just got my SP, anyone want to tell me the cool stuff I can do with it? What other games would I like, being a FF / RPG fan? I know it is OT so PM me if you have suggestions for me, please!
Seikei, why did the junctioning bother you so much? FFVIII was my introduction to the FF series so maybe I am biased, but I loved it. My sister didn't get it until I explained it to her, and I think she didn't care much for it either. The story was so great, though. Anyway I thought junctioning was cool, not only with the GF's but the spells too. I liked how different characters reacted differently to each spell and that the GF's 'got used to' a character being junctioned. My opinion. :)

Isnt that the same as origins for psx? Why would you play it on a 2 inch screen when you could on a 42 inch screen?

No, they were not. Of course, nothing is hard in DoS if you're at level 64, but Chaos was harder than the new dungeons. They were all too easy anyway, seeing as how DoS lets you save in the middle of a dungeon. I went halfway through the game without knowing just because I'm so used to the usual saving system. One really big plus is that you can buy more than one item at once. No more pushing "a" 297 times to buy 99 heals!!!!!!!!!

eh, I try not to save in the middle of a dungeon. It feels too much like cheating. However, if I am sure to beat a boss, but (*cough*eye*cough*) it might stone one of my people, not changing the outcome, but unevening the experience, I might save right before a boss. Or if I've tried several times and it's just annoying, then I might save once I've beaten the boss and am ready to run out. (Dying after beating the boss really pisses me off.)

You know, I've been through FF1 like 4 times, and I have never had one of my characters killed by the eye. Every time it tried to use a one-hit-kill, it missed, whether I had ribbon, proring, or anything to prevent it. And I'm talking about the NES version, not an emulator or even origins. Sorcerors, on the other hand...
