it really anoyed how through out the game they kept refering to tidus as 'him' did that bother any one else

'You know who' is the one that bothered me the most. But as long as is wasn't 'her'.... then it's ok.

ya it did bug but it wasn't too bad the "you know who..." got on my nerves the worst too.

It bugged me to!! It was like no one knew his name cos no one ever said his name, and he didnt even introduce himself like say "im tidus" or anything...O_o Kinda weird seeing as how everyone knows the main characters name in the other games.

It would be cool if they had the characters original name used in the voice acting and only replaced it with 'him' or 'you know who' when the name was changed.

Are you saying that they should have done that in the original game? Nobody knew that there was going to be a sequel at the time. And so the way they worked around it was that they cleverly never had anybody mention him by name in the game.

they couldv'e given you a chice of recorded name taht mita wroked but sum people mite not like many of the name choices but still it'd be kinda cool

Calling Tidus "him" was pretty annoying to me. It just sounded wrong. It sounded like he's a stranger, not a person Yuna loved. I didn't really like it. :(

And what would have helped the story was not to be so patchy with where it left off. i found it annoying how they revealed the story in this one. it was better how they revealed the story in ALL the other ones

I totally agrre with Aerith Gainsborough. I think they should have just referred to Tidus as Tidus because it doesn't really matter what name you put in X just to call Tidus 'him' if anyone understands!

Yep it got very annoying in the beginning but i got use to it.Anyway it made the game sort of mysterious and made me want 2 play on until i finished it.

It got me kind of annoyed....but then so did them not saying any aeon's name.

Yeah, but the aeons were all given their names in the battles and menus and such. Tidus didn't get that. He got "????" or nothing.

I honestly never heard anyone mention his name in X or X-2 .

But Yeah that was stupid was Square to not pronounce his name, (even though it could've been pronounced Tee-dus) in X and X-2. I just hope they learn from there mistakes and not have Vaan or Ashe be known as "him" or "her" in FFXII.

Yeh, I noticed that. The characters from FFX never ask Tidus his name regardless of ur input at the start. The only way Tidus refers to himself is the Star Player of the Zanarkand Abes. In X-2 as well, if u get trade priviledges in Blitzball (Brilliant Game ^^) You can trade the Zanarkand Abes for sum1 called Star Player.

Well, If Square had thought about it they cud have got X-2 to read ur memory card and find out which one you saved from X. However this could be difficult if you didn't get X befor X-2...

Actually one person in Kilika called Tidus by his name. When Wakka and the Aurochs were fixing the fencing, (before Yuna's dance) if you try to go past them he says "watch you're step there Tidus".

Thats the only part i heard his name said.

Anyone wanna check that one, or shall I do it? It's not that I don't believe you necessarily, it's just that one person's already said that they heard it and it turned out not to be true.

I've been reading a lot lately about how easy it is for people to get themselves believing something that never actually happened. I'm sure in your mind you're convinced that you heard it, but isn't possible you may be wrong?

Well I checked that part in Kilika before Yuna's dance and I did'nt hear those guys call him Tidus, so it must've been you're imagination or something.

Confusion: I don't even remember them talking at all to Tidus before Yuna's Dance.

No i did hear it!! You have to TRY and walk the way they are fixing and one of them says to him "Watch your step there Tidus, it's not safe this way" which makes him have to go the other way.

They dont talk to you automatically, you have to try and walk past.

Trust me its there! Or maybe only in the english one? lol its there though!!

Hoo boy. If you honestly don't know and aren't just trying to make a joke, it's probably not something we should tell you. All I can say is go play the original Final Fantasy X as soon as possible.

Ok guys about the part in kilika, they do say that but there isn't any audio. Whatever you decide to call tidus is the name the put in there, but they don't say his name.

As it has been said by numerous others, it's because the player was able to name the character whatever they wanted to, and for X-2 to work more correctly for the same player, they kept him the nameless wonder.

If you want to know how to say it though, it is "Tee-dus" as is heard in Kingdom Hearts.
