"Evan, what happened? Did you fall in a mine shaft? No.
Did you just come out of a coma? No.
Were you attacked by a werewolf? No, I wasn't.
Well, if you were going for that rugged look, I think you over-shot it.
You look like a bum in a suit.
You need Super-Cuts and a shave."
"Why do you sound like Evan Baxter but look like a Bee Gee? "
"Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience?
Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient?
If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous?
If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?"

SYNOPSIS
Newscaster Evan Baxter (Steve Carell) leaves Buffalo behind when he wins a seat in Congress. Moving his wife (Lauren Graham) and family to northern Virginia, he seems to have it made, then God (Morgan Freeman) throws a crisis of biblical proportions at his feet:
The Lord wants him to build an ark and line up all the animals two-by-two in preparation for a flood.

THE SOUNDTRACK
This is the "Complete Evan Almighty" soundtrack, consisting of various Pop tunes and Orchestial Score.
"Have You Ever Seen The Rain" by Creedence Clearwater Revival is played early on in the film.
The lyric "Have you ever seen the rain coming down on a sunny day?" appropriately comes true for Evan at the end of the film.
Elton John's "Just Like Noah's Ark", "Revolution" (a Beatles remake) by Rascal Flatts and
"Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top highlight the Pop tunes.
But the classic tune "Waiting On The World To Change" by John Mayer is perfectly placed as Evan builds his Ark alone.
Composer John Debney returns for the sequel to Bruce Almighty, and while the score for Evan Almighty reprises none of the themes from its predecessor, its structural and tonal similarities to earlier Debney efforts don't disappoint.
While "The Ark Theme" and "God's Theme" borrow heavily from the film's theological outlook, boasting epic string arrangements, booming choirs, and gospel harmonies, more earthbound fare like "Evan's Theme" sticks to the comedic basics, complete with the expressive piano that is now Debney's signature.
Due to possible conflicts with Varese Sarabande issuing a similar album (but no way as complete as this one), this version may be requested by PM only.
For "Evan" fanatics looking for a satisying listening experience, hopefully this should fill in the blanks.
Enjoy!
