Note: this is the newly released vinyl for Harry Manfredini's chilling score from 1980's cult classic Friday the 13th, from Waxwork Records. Right off the bat, it's not complete like LaLaLand Records' release but it's only off by 2 minutes and 6 seconds. Secondly, as fans who also ordered this know it took days after the pre-order date to be able to place an order due to website issues. As a result, many of us missed out on the awesome limited edition variants. No doubt in part due to scalpers.
Moving on, the album presentation itself is amazing. Sure, it sounds clearer and sharper on LLLR's edition but this is the sound I've been waiting to hear. There's something about vinyl that just makes these albums more entertaining to listen to.
On the opening of tracks 1 (beginning of side A) and 12 (beginning of side B), there is a temporary rumbling that I couldn't remove so opted to leave untouched for added effect. Perhaps someone has a cleaner record that they can use to re-rip the tracks with. I just don't have the time.
