I can't seem to kill the boss in bevelle cloister level 80...He paralyzes me I heal with a soft than he does that thing that takes a lot of hp and than paralyzes and I don't have much time to hit him he has like hp459,743 and I have tried almost every way to kill him. I have the official strategy guide which barely mentions the boss and action replay codes help a little, it seems impossible... Somebody please help me... :notgood:

It doesn't work. Chac's Stony Glare penetrates all equipped abilities and accessories, including Ribbon and Shmooth Shailing. Equip one of the girls with the Cat Nip you found on Level 40 and put her in critical HP. Use Gunner dressphere and Trigger Happy Lvl 3 on Chac. It'll do 9999 each time. Have the other girls in your strongest dressphers and accessories and have them run med service as needed.

Alternatively, equip a Lady Luck that knows Random Reels and use them. Use "Pause" to time it so that you get all 7s (easy to do once you have a little practice) and Chac will be instantly bribed and defeated using CONGRATS!

Yup, this dude's got the idea, I used the Cat Nip and Gunner Lvl. 3... but I'll check out the Random Reels 7's idea some other time. I don't know if you've beaten it yet, if you have than I probably don't need to tell you this but in the remaining Layers your gonna run into the bosses from lvls 20, 40, 60, 80, and probably a good bunch of Mega Tonberries so you'll need these concepts to survive.

Even with the catnip-critical hp combo (i also use speed bracer for autohaste on my gunner) you need to have dark knights with crystal bangles equipped and maybe use the break hp limit garment grid (cant remember its name...) if your levels are high enough.... Even with all that it took me 6-7 efforts to kill chac. You also need to get lucky sometimes :) Also when he's oversouled he doesnt use the heaven's catarract attack (i cant back this up 100% cause i havent tried it myself) and he's supposed to be easier to kill.

Yeah, the second part is true. I can back that up. It's one of those weird Oversoul things where the monster actually lose a valuable ability. Instead, it just tries to destroy your Softs and Remedys, wasting even more turns.
