On one hand it's nice to have this soundtrack in Hi-Rez, on the other... IT STILL DOESNT HAVE THAT DAMN TRAILER BGM! FML.

I mean this one: ??????????? ???/???????? - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22kSgKNTTIk)

Does anyone know if that was stock music from another Hirano show/another composer?

PS. The only new tracks are Air and Extract from Broken Blade Theme "Friendship" if anyone cares.

If you're referring to that cheesy slamming-percussion synthy stuff from 0:31 to the end, it's not Hirano - it sounds like generic trailer music.

All Hirano's music in the trailer is on the soundtrack. :)

Cheesy? Sure. Generic? Sure. I wasn't asking for your opinion of said track though. :)

Not Hirano? The only thing going for "not Hirano" (so far) is that it wasn't included on any of the releases and you saying so. Then again, guess the former is a decent enough reason to support the claim...

Still cool to have this soundtrack in 24bit/96kHz.

I do not seek your permission. :P

Regarding composer identification... the trailer score to which you refer is not in Hirano's style. "Not Hirano" is a musicological argument based on familiarity with the composer's technique. One wouldn't confuse Mozart and Schoenberg, after all.

If you're after that piece you might be better off asking in one of the trailer music threads, if they're still around.

Finally, you don't have the soundtrack in 24-bit 96khz. This upload is in MP3, 16-bit depth and 48khz.

The score release is on BluRay, as I understand - but that's no guarantee of a 24-bit, 96khz source.

In any case, natural limitations of human hearing makes this something of a moot point...

The soundtrack is in FLAC, wrapped up in this torrent:

I haven't downloaded it yet (I'm at work) so cannot comment on the details, but it's going to be an improvement on MP3. :D

Have downloaded, can confirm FLAC at 96000khz, 24-bit. No audio data above 22khz, as expected - but it sounds a helluva lot better than the 2011 bonus CDs.

I guess I have to update now :) (Good thing I did not make a custom soundtrack yet). Speaking of soundtracks, a damn shame it's not a separate release. Makes no sense to me and I would gladly purchase it without a second thought. When is the Bundle-trend finally over? At least put it on iTunes or similar services if it's too expensive to produce one (slowly, anime is catching up, Rail Wars being a recent example).
