In the submarine quest, when you go into the Underwater reactor, what do you do with the people that are in there. Do you battle them or hold em' hostage?

I usually hold them hostage, I do not know why, I just do.

I hold them hostage, too. It just seems nicer this way, because Cloud met them a few times already, and these poor guys are just doing their job. ;)
